My girlfriend and I were here a few weeks ago to take care of a medical issue that turned out to be serious. She’s a type 1 diabetic and we were seen very quickly. We had several nurses checking in and all were very friendly and welcoming, especially the Doctors. Normally people don’t have a good time in the hospital but the staff and environment made it much easier to get through the ordeal.

I never trust the staff and doctors at this hospital. If you want to die quick go here. I had a friend that was misdiagnosed and sent home with a fractured spine. I went here for a simple scheduled procedure and waited over two hours before the procedure. No staff even apologized or told me that they were behind or what was going on. During my procedure I was treated very rough. My anesthesiologist was not nice and she seemed like she was clueless. I received a follow up call a week later and was told during this call that they had a few things going on and they apologized and someone should have told me while I was there. I am still in pain three months later worst than when I went in. If you have to drive to another hospital PLEASE do so.

My sister was there with my niece last night. I brought them in. My niece who is 2 fell and cut her head open on the fire place. It was 10:20pm when I brought them. During triage they place gauze and wrapped her head and then let her sit until almost 4:30am. The doctor literally was in the room for all of 15 minuets. Assessed her and then glued it shut. I understand there’s immediate emergencies and I understand being short staffed but Onslow has been this awful. They have ZERO sense of urgency. We could’ve literally skipped a room and quickly been seen fixed and discharged. To leave people sitting for that long is ridiculous. No wonder this hospital has been under investigation. My son needed stitches once where we previously lived and they brought him to the hallway and quickly came and stitched him up. We were in and out in an hour. Like you wouldn’t have so many people waiting if you knew how to read charts and moved with urgency.

I've only had one experience here at Onslow Memorial and that was in labor and delivery a few months ago. I had a pleasant experience because I felt cared for and respected. I had an unexpected twist in my birth experience and in the midst of what was going on, one of the nurses took the time to answer my questions calmly, which made me feel very comfortable and safe. During my C-section the anesthesiologist was very helpful in keeping me at ease as that was my first ever major surgery, she was very kind and patient with me. My husband and I came back home wanting to go back to the hospital because of how hospitable our experience was.

Not sure but i would not recommend working at onslow memorial. ....try for better hospitals like duke medical or even the hospital in greenville.....
You need to call an ambulance. Never Play around with your health.

They are the worst hospital, the staff there is a sorry excuse for a staff I dont know who does the hiring but they clearly don't know what to look for in the people they hire.

Over 6 hrs just in waiting room before you get called for vitals then another 3 he's to been seen by triage person the who knows how long to be seen by Dr or np
Probably because so many people go there for a hangnail or a paper cut and then expect to be a priority!!

The worst part of delivery is after you have the baby you are moved to a tiny room to share with another mom, one bathroom. No bed or comfortable chair for dad. Even worse if you are on the side of the room with no window. Nurses were all very friendly and checked on me often. The food is really good.

I do not know what BigDaddy B is talking About. Onslow’s rehab facility is top notch. OUTSTANDING therapists, state of the art equipment and good attitudes!!
Not sure, calling the hospital should get you where you need to go.....they're horrible at service but ok with telling you where to go.
