Terrible organization. We'll be closing our account tomorrow - after around 40 years with them. Since Inspirus took over they've gone steadily downhill, and we've just had two experiences that finished them for us. First, my husband got caught up in an online scam around Christmas, when he purchased a computer online for a too-good-to-be-true price. Within less than an hour of paying for it with his Gesa check card he realized it was a scam and called Gesa to stop payment. (He had already informed the "seller" that he wished to cancel the purchase, and of course no computer has ever been delivered.) That phone call was bounced from one person to the next and got nowhere. So we went in - now a couple hours after he'd made the purchase - and asked in person for them to stop the payment. The person at the desk was very unhelpful, basically told us he was pretty stupid for making the purchase, and said it wasn't possible to cancel it without the scammer's approval. We told him this made no sense - one can cancel a check; why not a check card payment??? Well, eventually they put a hold on the payment, and we've just received a letter from they stating that they have determined that "no error occurred" (so where is our damn computer? And why can we not get a response from the "seller"?) and that we had failed to provide required documentation (not true). It's only $90, but that's more than we really want to donate to a scam - and it's not the first time Gesa has paid scammers out of our account. Several times in the past they've texted a query as to whether a payment was authorized, and we've texted back "NO" and the payment has gone through anyway. They've also put unauthorized payments through on outdated cards. The sum has always been relatively small, which is why we've always just let it go, but NO MORE. More recently, we've suddenly been unable to access our account online. After much phoning and bouncing from place to place and being told it was the fault of the internet service provider, they finally admitted that the problem was being caused by their contractor who interfaces with ISPs. They can't tell us what the problem is or when it will be solved or, in fact, anything. Their best suggestions, to date, have been, "Just access your account on your phone" (doesn't work when you're trying to plan and manage your monthly budget!) and "Connect through another ISP, like a neighbor or a Starbucks" (because I really want to go to Starbucks with all my bills and sit on an unsecure wifi to deal with my monthly budgeting). Enough already! These clowns don't care about customer service - their rating on Yelp is less than 2 stars, and conversations with friends indicate that our dissatisfaction isn't unusual. We're done!

I want to give a Standing Ovation and thank you to Jodie Haag at the Southridge GESA location. She was getting ready to go on her lunch break but when she saw me and my staff assistant she came to us and ask us could she help us. Jodie did not go on her lunch break and gave us outstanding Customer Service. Who wouldn't want to come to a bank Institution like this one??? These are the type of Employees that all Businesses should hire Thank you Jodie - for always making me feel like I am important when I come into your GESA Location on Union and 27th Kennewick Branch. You are the BEST!!! Marteal Finney

I am disgusted that Inspirus has merged with this fourth rate institution. I have been on hold for over 4 minutes to ask how to make my first contact with Geezer CU. The phone number on the screen is not functional according to Verizon. I have already transferred one savings account of over $200K to another CU. As soon as I can get through on the Kennewick phone number (been on hold almost 7 minutes now) I will transfer another saving account of nearly $100 K. What a joke. Do not treat with these clowns. Lousy service. Not interested in having human contact with their clients. Waiting nearly 9 minutes now.
