I’m so annoyed. I scheduled an appointment, showed up for my appointment and their door was locked. I knocked on the door for over ten minutes and called but all options are automated and you can’t talk to anyone. I ended up waiting over 15 minutes outside the door and when they finally came out they said they were done for the day and wouldn’t see me. I told them I had an appointment and I’ve been waiting and they said, too bad we are done for the day, you should have made an appointment. When I tried to tell them I did, she closed the door in my face.

I went all the way to Oakland from San Francisco because it was the closest Quest to me that is open on the weekend. It was a walk-in for a lab order that was given to me by my provider last minute. I walk in at 11:05am and the older asian lady at the front desk (i believe her name is Lautina) automatically told me she wont be able to see me and dismissed another patient as well. I told her I would like to be on stand-by. She told me they close at 11:40am (which isnt true, they close at 12pm). I told her I would still like to wait. The entire time I waited she would give me ugly stares. At exactly 11:41am she told me again that they would not see me. I told her again I will wait until 12pm. The last patient left at 11:45am. So for the last 15mins, the lab had no patients left and there was 3 phlebotomists available and yet they still didn’t draw my blood. All 3 of them come out at exactly 12pm to tell me they are closed. It was as if they purposely waited until 12pm so I wouldn't get drawn. I would understand if they were super busy and they couldn't squeeze me in. But the entire 55mins that I was there, they only saw 7patients total. 7 patients seen with only me waiting on stand-by with 3 phlebotomists? Thats ridiculous. I myself got a CPT-1 license and i’ve drawn double that amount of patients by myself in half the time. So it was definitely doable but I think Lautina was being petty because I decided to be on stand-by and I didn’t leave like the other patient that she dismissed. Nobody wants to get their blood drawn. Its always for a medical necessity. Its disheartening encountering people in the medical field that obviously doesn’t care about the community they are serving.

Had a great experience today. Staff was managing the flow of patients well even though they were a little swamped. The phlebotomist was awesome and went above and beyond to help me out. Super thankful, quest isn’t always a great experience but the staff here seems like a cut above.

Had an appointment here, arrived 15min before my scheduled appointment, no access to go in clinic, no instructions for non appointment and appointment. The Asian rep. was rude, disrespectful to elderly ppl. Absolutely no customer service skills, she often made loud noises letting everyone know how irritated she was. Smh

Hi Gerry- Thank you for reaching out. If your doctor stated they would send us the order electronically or via fax, there is no need to confirm that we have the order. If we do not have the order, we will call the doctor to obtain it when you arrive at our Quest Patient Service Center.
