Good luck getting a hold of anybody via telephone or in person…
Alex
Won’t release a firearm that was stolen from me it’s been three years.

I submitted a form that has been unacknowledged for >120 days. Emailing them only amounts to meaningless copy and paste replies. The phone number they provide is robot voice option menu and is a digital maze to navigate through to even get in the queue of being placed on hold for more than an hour before I couldn't stay on the phone any longer and I'm not sure being on hold for any length of time will result in anyone picking up the phone. But since they are a govt agency there is no way for them to be held accountable for not providing a service that has been paid for.

Im Trying to get back a rifle that was stolen in the 90's, it was recovered in 2011, sent up here in 2014, i was notified in Dec 2018 luckily someone rechecked my address because it was set to be destroyed. So the Department of Justice couldnt look up my address! I can not talk to a live person there over the phone to get answers, ive paid $40.00 for fees Turned in i think 4 Gun release forms and a couple waivers to wave the fees that i paid. They tell me to call the customer help line but it doesnt tell me what to do next. It looks like im getting robbed twice.... why? Finally got it back 5 months later from the first notice.

Hell no!, they keep referring you to a automated phone list to which you cannot have your question answered like" now what", or "what do i need to do now".
Good question.. i never got one. Plus, the "department of Justice" couldn't even find my home of 26 years to report finding my stolen rifle !!!!
Call state sec yes they have records
What department are you trying to reach??
3700 Branch Center Rd A, Sacramento, CA 95827
This office is not open to the public. You will have to call or email someone in the specific department you need information from.
I went there in person a few weeks ago to try and get some answers to an issue I have but was told there is no one there you can talk to. The guy at the sign in booth was very helpful but there was nothing he could do. GL, I gave up.
I'm guessing zodiac was a cop.

You would have to go online fill out a form and get a record review of your criminal history. It costs $25 to have this done. You will also need to be fingerprinted
Please contact the clerk's office at the court where your case or record was originally filed.
