We just moved to Sac and we are very glad to see a specialty store at here! I’ve been a Canon 5D user for many many years and look for a change to mirrorless. I bring all of my questions to Mike’s camera and wanted to test out. Joe is the guy who’s very nice and knowledgeable. He answered my questions and we tried all of the demo cameras that we wanted. Thank you Joe!

Place was busy when I visited on a Saturday, but the staff was excellent and attentive. Had at least two people offer to help. I appreciated how helpful the staff were despite having so many customers. Highly recommend this place and I would come back. One drawback was that they didn't seem to have any speedlite diffusers. Idk if it's a matter of shipping issues or a store issue, so I'm not knocking any stars for that. I was able to get 2 Promaster batteries for my Canon camera. They were out of stock of the Canon batteries but said they might have some soon. And they had a 20% off sale on batteries so I got a fairly good deal. The only issue I ended up having was product related and has nothing to do with the store. Sharing just in case it helps someone else... I bought a set of 4 Promaster rechargeable batteries and the charger pack for a wedding. Unfortunately, the batteries at full charge only lasted about 45 minutes. I have another set of Enelopp rechargeable batteries that seem to last for hours. Will definitely be returning the Promaster batteries although I didn't see any Eneloop batteries so I may have to buy those elsewhere. That's a wrap on my experience!

Great camera shop. Prices are in line with online sellers, but they actually have people to help. Got a great deal on a Nikon and it was awesome to try it out in store so I could see the size and feel of it before purchasing.

Dont know but supper nice employee to answer question
Definitely.. how long depends on the number of negatives you submit and what condition they're in. They can also scan them to a disk if you like. On average, a single roll will usually take no more than a day or two. Also depends on how busy they are
No
Jay We can get this service done for you but currently do not offer it onsite. Stop by and let my team take a look . Mike
Mike's does take trade in's during certain promotions. Recently traded my entire DSLR system in for a new Sony full frame camera system.
Sorry for the late reply, this is nto a battery I can get any longer, I would check Batteries Plus for an option.
We should be able to do that for you while you wait. Bring it by and we can take a look and get you going! we are open from 10-5. Mike
Olivia Thank you for your question. A lot depends on how many you have and what sizes. Typically 2-4 days though.
Victoria We can certainly do this but it would be far better and give you a better end result if you can get the original file from the photographer. I am sure that you are in contact with them if they have given you a copyright release on the images.
They actually do have a camera repair service, but not in-house. I had them send my Canon 50D out and had it back within a few weeks. Camera works great now. I wasn't sure I wanted to pay to have it fixed considering its an older model. But I'm glad I did cause that's an excellent old camera. In your case, you can probably find that same camera for the price of the repair, but it wouldn't hurt to ask. They'll charge you an upfront fee which will be applied toward the repair if you choose to have to work done. Even if you don't have the camera fixed, the place is worth visiting. If you love photography, it will inspire you.
We are cleaning and sanitizing hourly. All employees and customers are required to wear a mask while in the store. Safety for our customers and employees is our upmost priority
Thank you for reaching out. Sadly that is a tape that we have not been able to source for some time now. Mike
Kenny Yes, That lens currently has a $200 instant savings on it through the end of this month of May
Thank you for your question. While we cannot repair the slide directly we can look at scanning it and seeing what we can do to restore the image. Bring them by and lets see what we are working with Mike
Thank you for your message - I am guessing you are asking for Portra 400 and 160 (Auto correct is always a challenge) That said, yes I do carry both film types in stock. Mike
Yes they can absolutely do this
What kind of camera do you want to sell?
Yes they can! They can convert to memory card, DVD or even Blu-Ray. Ask about archival storage options: not all memory formats are good for long term storage.
Dagmar Thank you for reaching out. We open at 10am this morning . Bring it by so we can take a look, it could be that it is just stuck and could be freed. Best to see if so that we can suggest the correct course of action
Your budget would probably need to increase to about $800 if you are looking for something with those specifications. Best is to walk into Mike's and ask the sales pros on what is available within your price range.
There are a lot of choices. It has almost all ilford b&w films and kodak films in stock. For the fujifilm, they only left the professional grade films such as slide film, 400H, etc. I asked them about the new ektachrome last week, they said they will finally get it, but not sure when
You can get the C41 color negtive at the same day. B&W or E6 slide film will take a whole week. And I am not sure if they do the contact sheet.
Call them directly...
So sorry for the delayed reply, yes we can absolutely print from these for you and in most cases have them ready in 1 hour!
They do some repairs but wouldn't work on my old Nikon F5. Maybe not film cameras. You should call them.
Thank you for your message - these are some of the Kodak films that we work to keep in stock every day among others. KODAK EKTAR 100 135-36 KODAK PORTRA 160 135-36 KODAK PORTRA 400 135-36 KODAK PORTRA 800 135-36 KODAK P3200 TMAX 135-36X KODAK TMX 100 135-24 TMAX PRO KODAK TMX 100 135-36 TMAX PRO KODAK TMY 400 135-24 TMAX PRO KODAK TMY 400 135-36 TMAX PRO KODAK TRI-X 400 135-24 KODAK TRI-X 400 135-36
It would be good to call in and ask. They might or could refer you to someone who could help.
Thank you for your question. Yes we do offer camera and sensor cleanings. You can bring it by at your convenience and we can often have it ready the next day or even later the same day depending on volume and when you bring it in.
They do if you're in a bind.
Carmen Thank you for your question. yes we do offer both Camera and Camera sensor cleanings. you can bring it to the store at your convenience and we often have these completed within 24-48 hours. Mike
No they don't.
They sell new items however, during the tent sale, third party vendors come out and will buy used lenses, cameras, etc. (Former employee) Mikes Camera is great.
No..... I tried to buy matte paper to hang prints and they didn't have any. They don't carry it so I had to go to an arts and crafts store for photo items... It was crazy
