I called asking for a preference eligibility letter. The person answering the phone did not know what I needed. I explained is a form to apply for a federal job for a 10 point preference. Person said I should have that form because VA automatically sends them to us. I asked if they were a Regional Veteran Center, person says yes but they did not know what I needed. Person also said I should not be telling everyone what I need because not everyone is nice.... I did not give any personal information. They do not know how to help veterans at all

Felt and operated alot like the Modesto DMV, with a dash of U. S. Postal Service. More welcomed paths exist for various veteran services. The high reviews stem from the entertainment area that's opposite of the customer service center. I applaud such events, but if your focus has anything to do with paperwork, benefits, or administration you should run the opposite way.

I’ve had the best experiences at this place. Jose, Rob and Juan are the best people I’ve encountered. Just truly a pleasure meeting them. They have helped me beyond belief and I can’t be more thankful. Forever grateful for their help.

I called them and kindly asked for a copy of a form that I needed for school and they rudely interjected and insisted that the school did not need that form and that I needed to double check. I explained that I have already taken that step because I also found it unusual they requested those documents. I even read her the email thread that stated I had already explained this to the university Veteran's Center and they replied that they wanted additional documentation for good measure and faster processing of awards. I am extremely frustrated with the lack of customer service and unwillingness to help. As soon as they answered the phone they were terribly unaccommodating and tried to argue with someone who is simply inquiring about a document that could easily be copied and processed.

No fee for any work performed the Veterans Service Office. The state will charge a one time $5 fee to add "Veteran" to your license or id card.
They help veterans request discharge paper work, help file for service related disability claims, compensations, pensions, veteran eligibility questions and verifications.
I don't know. Sorry.
Yes you do, you need to find out who is the Vet. Rep. For your area.
I do not work there but yes they have vans to transport vets to Dr appts
They might be able to suggest someone, or point you in the right direction
Actually... They have services and stuff there. You can file claims, do work programs and other similar things. If you need a walker I would try getting hold of a clinic.
You can go to any military surplus store and have them made. While in Fort Lewis there was a little shop across the freeway that we would go to and they'd fix em up on the spot.
