Placer County Veterans Services Office gave me bad advise. Made me wait 3 months for an appointment. When arrived I was to the Veteran Service Officer (the only person who could help me) no longer worked there. Another person gave me more bad advise. These people HURT Veterans, not help them.

Initial experience, called 430pm, put on hold, i waited until they came back. I didn't lose anything or hurt my feelings. I just retired and moved while trying to get my ratings. Gentleman on the phone broke it down what i initially need to do, listened and thanked him for the information. Stop letting your emotions speak for you, have patience.

Suzi Vinci knows her stuff. She is determined to get everything the veteran is entitled to, and Is a true advocate. I really appreciated her empathy and her willingness to help like I was the only veteran she is helping, though I know she has a huge workload. I read some of the reviews here, people need to consider that these people are very busy with people who came in or had an appointment. Blame the government for not adequately equipping these offices with enough advocates to service the amount of demand for the area. If your not getting helped it isn't because these people working are not there to serve, they aren't super humans. Go in on a walk in day.

My 89 year old father is trying to get va help. I have called this office many times the past 2 days, no one will answer and the message says the office is closed. I've called only during office hours. Still no help. Thanks for taking such good care of our older vets. Not a good experience!

Please try calling again. Once you hear the recorded message press zero and you should reach a live person. Recently posted on the American Legion Post 264 Facebook page: "The Placer County Veteran's Service Office (VSO) has asked that we inform our followers their office is understaffed right now and has been for 7 months as the county has transitioned in a new CEO. They are doing the best they can with the demands being placed on them by the county as well as our veterans. Thank you for your patience with them." Hope this helps Rico!
Tell him to go to his local Veteran Service Office and ask for help. If he's in Placer County there is one at 1000 Sunset Ave, Roseville Ca
Correct , they do. As always, be sure to call ahead to see how busy they are and if you require an appointment.
You absolutely can!
The office can only access the letter if you are set up with a POA authorizing them access to your VAFile
I am not sure specifically, but it would be a good idea to call them or call your local stand down. Good luck
