This was our first time visiting this Fat Apples location. We parked right in front. We usually go to Berkeley but they don't serve pancakes so we went to El Cerrito. The set up is good. You order and pay prior to being seated. We had pumpkin pancakes. They weren't as good as I remembered. You also have to pay extra for the whipped cream, which was mostly the consistency of milk. Bring your own surip or jelly ( they were out of jelly) since the amount of surip they serve isn't enough for a 2 year old. We took home two of the spinach and feta pocket pie like things for later. We heated them up in the air fryer and they were delicious. Overall it was good. The pancakes are fairly priced. Those little pocket pies are pricey at $6.50 (there's a chicken version) but they are really tasty.

Look I get it, the restaurant part of your restaurant/bakery isn't open because of COVID or whatever. But make that CLEAR on your website so I don't drive there very hungry and only find the restaurant closed and only bakery case open. Not cool. It's 2022, update your website!

Delightful! This really is a "people's" place. Lots of locals. Wonderful selection of pastries and cooked meals for breakfast. Enjoyed a lazy Saturday morning, sitting on the patio, munching on a cheese puff and blueberry hand pie before we were served our egg breakfast. The home fries are so tasty, could have just had those for breakfast! The employees were all friendly and helpful, especially when I had to go back in to order more tasty treats. Hope to swing back by before our vacation ends! Update: we came back. So good!!
