I've come here a handful of times while in the area visiting my family. The only time I had issues was during the peak of omicron when all their online appointments were booked up and they turned away all walk-ins, which was a little frustrating. But the other times that I've been able to make an appointment online, it's been relatively smooth. During the peak of omicron, the wait time was very long even with an appointment, but other times, there have only been a handful of other people there, so it didn't take too long. The process is pretty smooth, and I love that I've been able to get results in less than 24 hours (once, I got my results in 7 hours ... but it's usually more like 12-16 hours). The other issue I had recently I guess was my own fault for not realizing that my insurance would only cover tests every five days, and me trying to get a second test within those five days would cost me $250. I wish there was a way to know that when booking the appointment online, though, rather than finding out after I get there and get checked in, and then having to cancel the appointment.

Great process - very quick. RESERVE and pay IN ADVANCE online. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. The results were quick (for international flight) and easy to upload.

One of the smaller testing sites I've been to but the staff was very kind and efficient. I was there for less time than I expected. A lot of people were asking about the lines so I'm just going to share what it was like when I was there today, 1/7/22. The line to the left (when you are facing the tents) was the walk-in line. That one went around the corner. The short line to the right was to get tested after checking in. If you have an appointment, you can go in the middle to the line with three orange cones and check-in there. I had a very pleasant experience as the lines moved quickly and I also ran into a buddy who was in line two spots before me and got to meet his baby girl for the first time (at a distance). Thank you CityHealth and I hope everyone is staying safe!

City health is a very efficient testing site. Not only do they take walk ins, you typically get your results pretty fast. They have a nice system down when it comes to checking in as well as the test itself. Staff is very friendly and always have a positive attitude aside from all that is going on in the world. Whenever my friends or family need a new testing site I have always recommended City Health to them and they have gone back repeatedly.

Had my test here for United Airlines. The result was quick and easy to upload, but it's best to take a print-out, too.

So this location is open roughly from 8:30 to 5 but I highly suggest and appointment, as they could run of tests that throughout the day, unless you go when they open, or fairly early in the day. They charge through your health insurance.

I understand u have walk-ups? My cousin did this at ur site, however must show up either before 9 am or before 1pm, is this true? Thank u, Kathy Riehle

They do take walk ups. We did this a few days ago, arrived at 8:15 and the line took 1.5 hours. They moved it along as quickly as possible and the staff was and very friendly and helpful. We've been to this testing site a few other times with appointments and have always had easy, positive experiences. The results come back quickly too, within 1-2 days. Good luck!

What is the turnaround time to get the results? We are to fly out of SFO for Israel this Sunday at 7:45 pm.

The one near Oakland airport is $20 w health insurance. You set up an appointment there. My Wife and I have been there twice. Once for Hawaii and once just for work stuff. One time they took 4 hrs. The other 25 min. The one in El Cerrito is free, no appointment needed, but took a day. Oak never had a line when we went and is a drive through. The lines were short at El Cerrito and it's a walk in parking lot deal.

How much does this cost?

It's free if you're a CA resident, even if you don't have insurance. If you do have insurance, you'll be asked for your insurance card, but they won't be billed.
