Stopped in for an early dinner before the dinner rush. Waitstaff were friendly and attentive. Food arrived in a timely manner and did not disappoint the hungry soul. Japanese at its finest, yet simple.

It's probably time for Robata to get an overhaul. The place looks dirty and dated, the food is not as good as it used to be, and the selection lacks variety at a time where Sushi chef's everywhere come up with new tastes and textures.

I had the chicken soba, along with the Yakitori chicken skewers and some mixed tempura. Overall the meal was great and I walked away full and happy. One big downside is absolutely the price, the lowest price for a substantial amount of food is just way too high. The atmosphere of the restaurant and kindness of the employees was great too. I recommend going here for smaller special occasions or if you can afford it!

This restaurant serves the usual assortment of Japanese cuisine, with a Robata for the grilled items, which is fairly unique in the Bay Area. The sushi and sashimi are okay, with most fish lacking in freshness/flavor and some even on the dry side. The soba and udon are decent. The food itself would have gotten three stars if priced for the quality, but the total cost of dinner was quite a bit higher than what we thought it was worth.
