Very interesting place. Full of historical information, and missiles! I would highly recommend this!

The book (The Last Missile Site) was better than the actual show. Sadly, when the vets pass so will the physical history. Clearly, the monetary will to maintain and show the site is marginal at best.

A reminder of the fear that gripped America during the Cold War, The SF-88L Nike Missile Sight stood guard in the west to protect America from Soviet Bombers. The Nike Missile Sight Is a must see part of Marin County’s History. After being decommissioned as part of an arms reduction treaty the site was put under the control of the National Parks Service and through the efforts of veterans much of the site has been restored. Tours are staffed by a combination between NPS employees and veterans who used to serve at the site.

This Nike Missioe Site is a reminder of what the Cold War was about. It was eye-opening to see the site, including various missiles. The Park Ranger, Al, who gave the tour was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and entertaining. You could tell he likes what he does and that made this experience all the better. Various veterans who worked at Nike sites shared some of their experiences. 100% recommended experience if you are in the area.
