Two things first: this library is open until 3:45am every day, and it's open to the public, although in order to take books home one needs to be enrolled at Tulane. Both of these aspects make it an indispensible and excellent academic resource in New Orleans. Aside from books, this library also gives access to newspapers, journals, audio and video recordings, as well as special / rare collection items. A small coffee shop is conveniently located in the lobby. No designated parking for cars, but easy access for bicyclists and pedestrians.

Not a large library but there are many quiet desks at which you can sit to study. Inside there is also a miniature coffee shop/bar with some things you would find in ... a coffee shop. Staff are nice and helpful.
