Let me start by saying the staff are very friendly and my low review has little to do with them.. Also note that the pool is now permanently closed in the Birnam Wood location. And when I refer to management in my review I mostly mean communication between me and the front desk plus mechanics. Things that happened to my apartment in my 2 years of living here: Our rent got jacked up SUPER high which was the reason we could no longer stay. And judging by other reviews this is common here. Injured multiple times from staples sticking out of the cheap carpet which seemingly sheds pieces of itself on its own Mold COVERED our windows because of terrible insulation and window installation. Both winters here the windows were dripping with condensation and management wouldn't/couldn't fix for some reason. Mold part 2. During the winter mold would seemingly appear out of nowhere on the wall next to the window from im assuming is rot within the wall. Mold part 3. There was mold covering the fans inside both acs. I told management and nothing was done so I had to clean them to the best of my ability without taking apart the acs. Our kitchen cabinet and pantry doors fell off and table tops were coming off, plus one of the stove ranges would not work the whole time we lived there. Our sink broke almost in half from me just putting my weight on it. Our heat would not turn off in the summer and we had to run our ac so we wouldn't friggin melt. Told management and they said our valve was broken. Then came winter and the heat wouldn't turn on. Management had to come and fix it again. Our intercom system didn't work the whole time we were there. Couldn't talk or buzz people in. Walls are very thin. No security for big packages you receive. Laundromats are very small, and the actual machines are small too, and you must pay to use them. Weird encounter with staff: it was Christmas time and a package arrived for me. I go up to the office to retrieve it and all the staff are having a gift exchange. I walk in and everyone is death staring me, I let them know I have a package and one lady gets it for me while the others whisper about me behind my back. Meanwhile the office door says they are still open and the website says they are open. It seemed that for me at least, that im thought of as a nuisance and not a valued customer or lease owner. Another thing was they do an annual inspection. Both years we were at home the whole time and no one came to our apartment. So we stressed out and cleaned the whole place for nothing. Pros: small office with a computer, printer and free wifi, free gym, apartment was very clean when we first started living. If you decide to do a room showing, look very very thoroughly. There were people who have lived there for many years and seem happy, but unfortunately our experience was not that great

Welcome to the worst complex ever built. It’s a shame that I work here but I have to tolerate it My coworkers have no shame in failing tenants. Guess I’m fat up with them and management Good luck living here

I lived there for a few years. Tenants can be overly loud. I never had an issue with maintenance. Maintenance was always on time. I’ve never experienced any Roaches. Staffing overall wasn’t so bad. I only had one issue with one person in …
