Wow! If I could give a negative amount of stars there would be many. My husband and I happened to be in Red Bank for the day and looked up on-line for an Italian Bakery in the area. We found LaRosa’s Italian bakery close by. We went in and found a young woman working the counter alone and a man taking a specialty cake order. We ordered a lobster tail, four large Cannoli and two Sfogliatella. We paid and the young woman handed us two boxes and moved on to another customer. We put the boxes in a cooler that I keep in my car for summer food shopping. We drove just over an hour (directly home) to get home. When we got home we put the two boxes in the refrigerator. Later that evening when we opened the boxes we found that in one box was the lobster tail and it was fine. We opened the second box only to find 12 miniature cannoli six plain and six chocolate. Obviously not our order. We do not eat chocolate cannoli and the plain shells were soft and the cream was dried out and not edible. My husband called the store, which had closed for the evening. The next morning he called and spoke to Cassie who said he was lucky because he got the better deal because the mini pastries were $20 and more expensive than what he ordered. She was rude and argumentative. He asked for the owner and was told he wouldn’t be in for a couple of days. She would speak to him upon his return and call us back. When she called she held to her guns that even though it wasn’t what we ordered we got our monies worth (NOT) and they would not be doing anything to compensate us. She forced his hand… next call American Express to file a dispute. Steer clear of this mediocre at best bakery and the extremely rude and inept staff. The owners should be ashamed of themselves. Sono ignoranti, di basso ceto, misera scusa per gli italiani.

I wish I could leave a good review but unfortunately I can’t. I just moved to Red Bank and wanted to try this new bakery. At first the bakery is pleasant with nice staff and a big variety of choices…I went on two different occasions and both times disappointed…The cannoli cream was hard and stiff , the sugar cookies tasted like dog treats, and the stuff pastries were hard as a hockey puck… I wish them well but sorry they don’t compare to Del Pontes bakery in Bradley Beach because of less foot traffic and less food turnover.

Cannoli Cream still very good and pleased to see that 16oz container is still 16oz, not 12oz with the usual double whammy of a price increase! Older lady was a bit rude, but this is NY area, forgetaboutit. Enjoy!

Been going 22 years and will never go again. Pastries were tasteless and dry. Cannoli was dry and terrible. Rainbow cookies are cake not almond paste and when I called to express my disappointment I was told that they make no money as a …

It is a large shop with lots of space. I was there on a weekday so it was not busy. The attendant wore her mask properly, hand sanitizer was available and the store was immaculate. I would definitely go again (and the cookies were delicious)
Couple of days there real good about that
