Earlier this week I took my 5 month old maltipoo to her first ever grooming appointment. I was super excited about it because her fur was super long and she really needed a trim, once we arrived to pets smart the lady that was grooming our dog had to check to see if she had any strong mat knots in her fur. My puppy did indeed have one but only in the area of her legs , the groomer told us that she would need to buzz the legs in order for it to go away. I was perfectly fine with buzzing the legs but I specifically told her that I wanted the rest of her fur to stay long because my puppy is very small and skinny, also naturally maltipoos fur is very long and fluffy. The groomer AGREED with my request and said that she can indeed do that. Later when I picked up my puppy I was shocked to see that almost all of her fur was buzzed off. I asked the groomer why she buzzed all of it off and she responded with “I feel like it would be better this way.” Hearing this I was in shock this is MY PUPPY and I chose what I want to do with her. I will never be getting my puppy groomed here again!

The grooming staff have been rude and unhelpful in our two visits. There is definitely a reason this place has availability at the last minute when all other groomers in the area are booked out much further into the future. We won’t be giving them a third try to treat us and our dogs poorly.

I will never bring my dog back to get groomed here. The haircut came out fine, but it’s been 6 days since her appointment and she is still not acting her normal, happy, care-free self. Later that day, and the next, she kept shaking nervously, she wouldn’t go to bed easily as she normally does, and it takes coaxing to get her to go outside where she normally gets so excited when we ask. I don’t know what happened while she was there, but something isn’t right.

Staff is always friendly and helpful here. I purchased my cat's favorite scratcher at this location. Best thing I ever got for him!
