Nice spot, grandkids had fun finding salamanders. The road is a little narrow but safe. River is cold and clear Beautiful area.

Needs a little cleaned up at the camps but the rope and steps put in to get down to the river is brilliant whoever did it. Love it up there

Uh, not sure what all the "fun for kids" reviews are about. This is a homeless encampment full of sketchy dudes with pitbulls. The people there are obviously living there and are not welcoming to people passing through. I wouldn't spend the night here or recommend it to anyone. Sorry no photos but I got out of there as quickly as possible. Too bad this is the state of many camping sites these days. Coos County is the Appalachia of Oregon.

Great place to camp, kids enjoyed playing by the river. Camp hoast was really friendly. Only issue we had was that one of the campers dog was not on a leash and kept coming to our campsite approaching our 2 small dogs. We had all of our 3 dogs on leashed.
