The only thing worth a five star rating was the valet parking attendants. Our room had hair all over the floor and shower. The room was missing hand towels, washcloths and hand soap. The doors deadbolt could always pop out when you would open the door preventing it from completely closing. This property needs to do better for a room at this price.

On paper, this hotel looked beautiful and modern. The location of the hotel is perfect for anyone that wants to explore the port of Portland Maine. Sadly, upon arrival, we discovered that our hotel was not very clean. A spot of dried blood was on the the duvet and hairs were found on both beds. I contacted the reception and asked if housekeeping could pass by and I was told that housekeeping only cleans room every FOUR days. Reception was kind enough to deliver new sheets to our room but they were wrinkled and overall, it was not impressive. A hair dryer was supposed to be included in the room but our room did not have one at all. The only positive about my stay here was that the valet service was very friendly even though they did make a minor scratch on my vehicle. I would NOT recommend this hotel. There are many others in the surrounding area, it would be well worth it to pay a few dollars extra.

Chris, the bartender was 5 star. Great recommendations and fantastic drinks. Hotel was clean and very comfortable. Only reason i gave it 4 out of 5 stars was the $35 valet parking. Really no other options and no self park other than street meter parking according to the valet.

The hotel was very clean and all of the staff was super nice, even the valet who told us about free street parking! The room was a little smaller then we expected but did not lack amenities. With our status we were supposed to get a hot breakfast but every morning while we were there the person doing the meal prep called out. They we nice enough to let us pick items from the standard breakfast kiosk. The Aloft was nicely located and was in walking distance to a TON of restaurants and shops. Overall it was a nice stay. Plus they are pet friendly, we left our pup with family this trip.
