We visited here on vacation since our girls like to collect Junior Ranger badges. It was a lot cooler then we were expecting! It is one of two national parks that is based on the visual arts. It honors and was the home of the sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens. The rangers here were amazing and friendly. We really loved the gardens and the hedges that were super tall with walkways cut out to walk through. The main house was in good condition and was well maintained. Our tour guide had lots of interesting facts for us.

This place was really cool. A beautiful place to come and relax. I figure it would take about 3 hours to take a relaxing tour here. I was on a time constraint and spent an hour and half here. I saw everything that was open, but wished I had a little more time to enjoy the property and the trails. I went on the Ravine Trail and got ate up by the bugs, so don't for get to bring some bug spray.

Lovey place and grounds. The google listing does not express that the visitors center and house are currently closed until the end of May. The upside: I got to go on a lovely stroll and there weren’t many other people there! Oh, and it was free since those things weren’t opened yet.

The gardens and house are wonderful. Check the website! We were able to go in all the buildings. The visitors center is only open for bathrooms, but you can still get your cancellation stamp outside. The park rangers were very nice :)

Lebanon airport will be pretty costly because it's VERY small (I live 1 mile away from Leb airport) & is mostly serviced by small regional airlines like Cape Air. They can only handle small jets, like 16 passenger sized. Manchester is serviced by large airlines like Delta & is a great alternative to Boston's Logan Airport, but it costs more than flying into Logan. Southwest airlines flies into both Manchester and Boston & depending on your departure airport, you can sometimes get decent deals on Southwest. Best of luck.
It's about 25 minutes or 13 miles and a pretty drive.
This is the National Historic Site for the artist/sculptor Augustus St. Gauden. The artist's home, studio, grand grounds, and sculpture is on display here. While, yes, Augustus St. Gauden is the renowned artist behind the U.S. Mint's gold "Walking Liberty" coins of 1908, this is not the site to research or ask about the price of such collector coins. You need a numismatic and/or collector coins research & pricing guide/information. I've been a collector of gold coins for nearly 3 decades, with a particular interest in St. Gauden's $20 Walking Liberty gold coins. However, if you know anything about gold or coin collecting, their value rises & falls with the price of gold itself, and then the "collector value" is based on condition, minting, age, desirability, etc. You can get a really good idea of the prices to buy or sell such coins at websites like www.pcgs.com [Professional Coin Grading Service]. Good luck to you.
Yes & it is a great place. If you are familiar with Augustus St. Gaudens work, it is a thrill to read the history, view the art & the studio, plus art from friends & acquaintances of St. Gaudens, the grounds & nature trails are breath-taking...I highly recommend visiting this treasure.
