Interesting historical spot. Not sure if one can enter, but certainly would be nice to see the inside...otherwise it is a nice spot and not far from Carson Beach, so make it a stroll around the area and beach.

Beautiful piece of history! The caretaker for the house, Barbara, was very helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. I'm so happy to finally be able to check this off of my bucket list! :)

It's alright... Not much else happening in the area. House is pretty unassuming which is part of the charm. Got some cool looking diamonds patterned stained glass windows.

A little hard to get to with all the traffic, but quite something to see the oldest house in Boston!

The house was built in a Western English style of post-medieval architecture by James Blake, an immigrant from England. The Blake family owned the house until 1825 when it was acquired by the Williams family. In 1891, the City of Boston acquired the house. In order to save the house from demolition in 1896, the Dorchester Historical Society acquired the property from the City and moved the house less than 500 feet from its original location by Massachusetts Avenue to its current location. -Wikipedia
It will open again one day then walk by on the Third Sunday of the month.
