I have worked with dozens of theater companies all over New England and none of them could compare to JDP. JDP is one of the most professional and welcoming theater groups I have ever worked with. The entire team behind the scenes work tirelessly to make sure that everyone looks clean and beautiful for their productions. Their kind and friendly nature creates a warm environment for people with any kind of theatrical background to be comfortable and grow with the craft. The directing team is magnificent and brings some thing special to every show. The costumes never disappoint with their Broadway like glitz and glam. JDP really is the Broadway of Rhode Island. I seriously could not recommend this theater company enough. If you have the opportunity to even audition for the lovely people at JDP, you should take it and feel the magic that we all do.

I have worked with many theater companies and none have made me feel more at home than JDP. they appreciate and care about every one of their performers and has one of the most accepting and wonderful environments to be in. The crew is fantastic and kind and they run a very professional company. A company who cares about its actors and listens to them. A company that is dedicated to make wonderful productions and showcase the talent of Rhode Island. Every production is better than the last because they are also dedicated to grow as a company and become even better then they are. Every show I do with them hold lifelong happy memories. The time I’ve had at JDP has been wonderful and I have found my second family with them. I will be staying with JDP for years to come :)

JDP is absolutely AMAZING. I have been doing shows with them since they opened. They welcome absolutely everyone, and are unbelievably accommodating. Throughout my years with JDP they have always uplifted me and pushed me to be my best. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without them, and I’m extremely lucky that the directors chose me to be in their show when they were just starting out. They have programs for people of all ages including occasional free classes, Jr Shows for kids, a dance group, an acapella group, and so much more. I cannot recommend them enough, you won’t regret getting involved with JDP, I guarantee it!

JDP Theater co is an absolutely amazing company, from the moment I auditioned to almost a year later. They’ve been absolutely welcoming, it’s my home away from home. And I can personally say deciding to join the company has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. I always feel heard in my concerns and I can completely feel so safe and like myself with no judgement. This is my happy place as cheesy as it sounds, but after everything that has happened in life and especially with the pandemic I know I can come here and not have to worry about life’s stresses. I love this place and everyone in it and I completely believe you will too ❤️

Yes, there is a parking lot across the street from the church next to a yellow building (which is used as a community center). Parking in that lot is free, there are always plenty of spots, and it is a very short walk over to our rehearsal space.

Is your rehearsal space handicap accessible?

Yes! The building has a wheelchair ramp on the left-hand side by the church's main entrance. This ramp leads to a lower level and an elevator will take you up to the main rehearsal space.
