GetAway Vacations (Killington) does not care about their customers. If you have any issues at all, expect hours of frustration, rude customer service, and no resolution. A heads-up: In the agreement you sign upon booking, GetAway Vacations explicitly states that if the internet goes out, it isn't their problem and they will not give you any financial compensation. During our stay the internet was out for at least 14 hours. We were skiing so I don't know what time the internet came back on. The internet going out is why I called their "concierge" service. I can't remember ever having signed another hotel/condo/rental agreement where I waive my right to complain about the internet going out. I'd bet a lot of money the internet goes out a lot...and GetAway Vacations doesn't care. My story: I stayed at Green Mountain Condos. The internet went out so I called the concierge service to make sure they knew there was an outage and to ask when it would be back. The woman who answered the phone told me she couldn't help because the internet is a problem specific to the condos. That's it. End of her help. She was done with our conversation. I had to interrupt her goodbyes to ask if she could transfer me to someone who could help. She said no. She said GetAway Vacations manages so many properties that they do not have phone numbers for all the properties (what?!?). I asked her to elaborate....and to explain to me how I am supposed to figure out who to call. She told me to go to the front desk. I told her I'm in a condo and there is no front desk. She again told me to go to the front desk. After several minutes of explaining there wasn't a front desk option, she transferred me to tech support. I explain to tech support the internet is out and I'd like an estimate as to when we can expect it back. Tech support tells me they cannot help me because they do not service condos, only hotels. Even after giving the address of the condo, they insist they do not service where I'm staying. The woman hangs up on me. I call back and get a second woman who also insists that they do not support my address. I insist they do. She asks what phone number I called and I read the number on my phone screen it to her. She insists that the number I called is not for her company. I ask how I am speaking to her when that is the number on my phone. She puts my on hold for 5 minutes, finally coming back and saying she found my address and that there is a known internet outage and their technical engineers are working on it. She asks for my number and says she'll call me when the internet is back. I never get a phone call and I'm hung up on another time when I call asking for an update. Other complaints: The beds are horribly uncomfortable, the four of us (in 3 separate beds) hardly slept throughout our vacation. I wouldn't stay with GetAway Vacations again had nothing else gone wrong because of the beds alone. The bedrooms do not have curtains, just these shades that "diffuse" light...so when the sun is up, so are you. How are there no curtains? The water tastes TERRIBLE. You will have to buy water jugs at the grocery store. There isn't enough hot water for two people to shower consecutively. If you have allergies to dogs/cats don't stay here. There have definitely recently been animals in the condo. They have a text concierge service that is run my the most unhelpful/unresponsive people on the planet. I asked where the dumpster was and they told me in the parking lot...as if I wouldn't have looked in the parking lot? When I asked if they could be more specific, perhaps give me a building number near where the dumpster is located they stopped responding. tldr; GetAway Vacations is poorly run, filled with incompetent and rude customer service representatives. Tech support didn't know we existed and didn't care we didn't have internet. No one will call you back or answer your questions. The beds feel like wooden boards, you won't sleep.

Reservations were so easy and the place was perfect for our winter getaway! There was plenty of room and many of the spaces were nicely updated. The kitchen was great and there were many nice touches like heated mats on the porch, boot dryers and more! The house was cozy and comfortable and we would definitely stay again! The place is ski in/out but unfortunately the trails near the house were closed during our visit so we couldn’t use them.

We stayed there in October this year. The place was beautiful and nicely secluded and nestled into the woods at the end of its road. Still, it was near town so if we needed to get down to town to get anything it was not far away. The trees were gorgeous. There was a fire pit outside, wonderful fireplace in a sunroom inside and the kitchen looked completely new. My wife and I were really very nicely surprised. In terms of location, we were not very far from Killington, and very close to the antique shops and restaurants too. Lots of windows, which I like and quiet privacy. It was restorative. Thank you for having us.

Winter Lore was perfect in so may ways! The home is completely charming! Well-appointed bedrooms, with new comfortable mattresses, dressers and closets, privacy - and enough space for everyone. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, preparing, serving, and eating. Nice dining room with a big table, great furniture everywhere, seating for a crowd. Even space for work, if you really have to bring your office with you. Loved the bathrooms and showers! The location is far enough "out in the woods" to give us the cabin atmosphere we wanted, but close enough to US 4 to have access to civilization when we wanted that. And easy to drive to, but not drowning in the noise of constant traffic. Enough outdoor space for activities, games, a nature experience … and a fabulous firepit … yet with an indoor sunroom close enough to dash into for a quick warm up, relaxing and shaking off snow, before moving inside or dashing back for more outside fun. A great spot for skiers. Easy access to the lift lines and ski slopes, as well as to groceries or restaurants. Nice views without getting lost or snowbound in long back roads. We loved it, and are eager to return.
