Awesome water park in the Pittsburgh region. Not far from the city but you could get there easily from i376. Weekends are usually very crowded so having a plan on what to do or ride before you visit would help a lot. The slides are rated by thrill level and all rides were great. I didn't have much time to go ride om all of them. While some are solo rides, the couple/double rides are something to try for a joint experience. I wish they had fast pass to skip the lines to reduce wait times. The food options are okay but they are on the expensive side. The locker options are limited in the sense that they will be sold out within the first 30min to 1hr from opening time, especially on weekends. The changing rooms can require some frequent cleaning. Overall, the wave pool, kids pool and the rides were great. I'll definitely recommend going here if you enjoy water rides.

We went July 3 for the first time. It was for something fun to do for my daughter's birthday. We are about 80 minutes North. We had a GREAT time. Got there around 11 and left around 7. Lots of fun things to do. We LOVED the Devil's Den. Only downfall is prices and bathrooms IMO. Prices seemed rather high for a family activity. It's not Cedar Point or Disney. With admission being more than $50 per person, parking should be included or only $5. Also food/alcohol was a bit overpriced for what you get. It was prices you'd pay at a rock concert instead of a family venue. You are allowed to bring a very limited amount of food in like 1 20oz water or pop, fruit, a snack size of chips and a sandwich per their sign at the entrance. Their water fountains were turned off??!! Corn dog was $9.99!! Small dessert from Rita's was nearly $8. I kept telling myself I was on vacation. The three of us (my husband, my daughter and I) all went to Waldamere in Erie last year and for their admission of $47 for the combo we had use of the water park AND the amusement park and free parking, plus picnicing is encouraged. Bathrooms should be checked every hour. They were kinda gross. We did have a great time though and if we lived closer we would probably get a package since that does seem like a better deal...

My Family and I had a Great Time at Sandcastle! We've been there twice this month so far and we plan on going again sometime soon. Although, This past Saturday, 6/25 they closed the Lazy River at 6:15pm when the whole place isn't supposed to close until 7pm. Not sure why or what happened to make them do that but there were a lot of people who were upset about that. My family & I really enjoyed our time at Sandcastle!!!

More than half of the park is still under construction on opening day. I was excited to surprise my sister with tickets to sandcastle. This was our first time at the park. When we entered, we found 8 attractions closed. We waited 45 minutes in line to go down a single slide (I timed it). Two slides were open and two pools. I normally don't complain, but the park should have given notice it was still under construction. We also paid for parking online, when parking was free. Also a $15 locker, which was not refunded. We would have went to kennywood instead. When I mentioned this to guest services, the manager (Scott) didn't take the time to talk with us at all. This will be the experience I tell everyone who asks how my weekend at sandcastle with my sister went.

Hi Elizabeth, Yes, you are able to bring in your own food and drinks. Food should be limited to "picnic" style lunches and drinks must be free from glass, unopened, and non-alcoholic. You can bring in a cooler as well!
You cannot bring your own floats to the pools but on the slides they provide them
The kids will have a great time. Jungle gym and kiddie pool with baby slides were a hot with my kids when they were that age
Hello- We do offer an after 3pm rate at the front gate. $26.99 for regular admission and $21.99 for junior and senior admission.
They have them available but if you feel safer bring yr own
Yes 11 - 6 Saturday and Sunday go to their website sandcastle.com for tickets and to reserve your spot for the the day. They are only running at 50% capacity so you will need to reserve your spot as well as get your tickets ahead of time. I think they are 39.99 for the day. I got a season pass for $10 more because I was going more than one day.
23.00. And dont forget lockers is 10.00. 7.00. For parking eat before you go
Absolutely! No alcohol though, but whatever outside food you want to bring in is okay.
Yes they do. There prices are very reasonable.. and if you go on offer up people sell buddy passes 4 $20 a piece to get in.
Call customer service for your ticket to be renewed
I bought my season pass for the sole purpose of using the lazy river. SO disappointing.
Typically Mondays-Wednesday are less crowded days for us. At the moment we are only open for Labor Day weekend, then we close for the season.
I believe there is no age for ticket price. There is a height requirement for the big slides. There is a nice sized jungle gym and a hoodie pool with baby slides that my kids had a blast with when they were younger
We have picnic table located outside the park near the main gate. You are welcome to bring food and drinks into the park along with a cooler. All food must follow our food and beverage policy. All food must be individually packaged or wrapped. All food and drinks must be sealed.
Tuesdays. Tend to be the less busy. Or drizzling days bc if you get rained out you get a raincheck with your ticket stub or receipt.
the 61d from downtown goes to the Waterfront then will let you off at the Costco. From there you have to walk about a half a mile to the entrance
Call!
Open today but not sure how much ticket cost?
Yes, the lazy river is now open for the season. Please check our website daily for any slide or attraction closures.
It is. It's next to Tony's Pizza. I've of my boys got the cheesey cheddar and it's super delicious.
The lazy river will not be open today. We apologize and appreciate your patience as we are working to get it up and running as soon as possible. Please check our website daily for updates. GoPros are not permitted on any of our slides.
Very clean, my kids even commented how clean the wave pool was. However he did say the bathrooms were nasty...he saw a spider in there lol.
Yes you can. The food CANNOT be open though
It's $21 if bought with a season pass. Senior citizen is $29.99
If you have the platinum pass
Yes... I have seen people with them there.
No you only pay one time all slides and pools are included
If you have a season pass and didn't register it at the gate they give you free 2 buddy day passes and 1 15$ buddy pass but you don't pay the 15$ until you use it
General admission is typically $35.99
Sandcastle is closed
Hi Joann, We will be opening to the public Saturday, July 11. You will need to purchase a ticket in advance, or make an RSVP at www.sandcastlewaterpark.com/rsvp if you have a season pass.
Four feet in height is generally the limit.
She's right
They already closed and they open back next year
I believe it is 32.99 for adults and 23.99 for kids at the gate. With a slight discount if you pre-purchase them online. And I found them for 19.99 a piece of Groupon
Yes. Chips and stuff must be unopened or they will make you throw them away before you enter
Yes. We did it last year and took the print out with us. It was very easy.
Go through the entrance and pay to enter. Someone will guide you for shows.
Im not sure about that, i have a season pass so parking is inlcuded. That i would call and ask someone at the park for a foresure answer.
The slides range in different heights due to difficulty. Usually 48 and the more difficult are 54.

You can bring a cooler with food and drinks, just no alcohol. For clothing you can wear and bring anything, there's 1 slide you cannot wear a shirt on. They have lockers and changing areas. They do search your bags before entering the park
They didnt have all spring to fix that tho, rather wait til season starts lmao
Im haven't been there yet this year
YES as long as u have the bar code to scan
I have seen people with Kennywood cups but I'm not sure if they will refill it for 99 cents. I have used Sandcastle previous year's cup with no problem though.

No we are not. Our last day of operation for the 2018 season is Monday September 3.
There are some specifics on their website. Drinks, like bottles of water must be still factory sealed and you can't bring big family size bags of things, just individual serving sizes. We bring sandwiches and snack bags all the time
They have chairs in the regular pool and the lazy river designed for handicap to be able to get into the pools. Im not sure if there is a discounted ticket.
A number of people I know bought their tickets for this year on Black Friday and they were half price I believe
Theres 2 different sizes the small ones r good for about 2 peoples oufits with shoes the large ones r double
Yes but it must be sealed and packaged in individual bottles.
Yes they do! They have alot near the wave pool..also regular tables and chairs with umbrellas in that area as well

Usually by now everything is open with the exception of a slide or two. Its based on whether they have enough lifeguards or not. The park is clean, the pools and slides are managed well by the staff, the food is good if you buy it (i bring my own).
For July, our hours are 11-6pm on Sunday-Friday and 11-7pm on Saturdays
The speed slides are open for the season. Each morning we decide on what slides or attractions will be closed for the day, if any as our ride and attraction schedule is always subject to change. We encourage all guests to check our website or call the park on the morning they visit to see if anything is closed for that day.
Yes, just be prepared to have someone at the entrance look inside the wagon to make sure sure you don't have any glass items or other contraband.
Yes, it will be searched before entering the park.
Everything is up and running.
Yes, everything must be individually wrapped and unopened.
If you have a premium or silver season pass through Kennywood, you receive $10 off our regular admission price when you visit Sandcastle. You can purchase the ticket at guest relations, please bring your Kennywood season pass.
Yes, we have two bars located in the park where you can purchase alcoholic beverages.
Most likely not. Check their website, they should tell you there.
Yes they do.
Club Wet has not been at Sandcastle for many years now. We apologize for the inconvenience.
I love the lazy river also. It was close. I heard not enough lifeguards to open it. I think if they would pay more than $10. They would have more people interested. An it would be open. Just my opinion.
I've been there 4 times at it hasn't been open. Not sure what is going on. I have asked but nobody seems to have answers. I have never written a bad review but that place is really mismanaged.
All outdoor facility, nice trees and umbrellas for shade in multiple areas around the pools and in between pools with sidewalks. Also there are umbrellas on tables to eat or drink as well as a small pavilion with shade. The gift shop may have air conditioning but doors are open on it always, so not much indoor 'relief' on a hot day.
They are short handed with lifeguards and are hoping to fix that soon
If the bucket is from the 2018 season, Doc Popcorn will refill it.
Unfortunately as of a few years ago, we do not anymore.
Yes
For most of our slides, riders need to be 48 inches or taller. We do have some areas specifically for children in the park with smaller slides.
You may bring individually packaged food items. Example: small bags of chips, granola bars, fruit snacks, individual sandwiches, etc. Think items that would go in a child's lunch box. No large or family style food items are permitted. Coolers are allowed. Closed bottles of water or juice boxes are the only drink allowed to be brought into the park. You may bring a reusable water bottle to refill at the park, but this must be empty before entering the park.
Most of our tube slides do have a weight limit and this is labeled on each attraction. With the single rider tube slides, the max weight is 200 pounds. For our double tube slides, the weight of the two riders can't exceed more then 400 pounds.
Regular Admission: $32.99 (weekdays) $35.99 (weekends) Senior/Junior Admission: $22.99 (weekdays) $25.99 (weekends) You can save money on tickets by purchasing them online with some of our online deals.

Buddy tickets are one time use only
Nope. Its a seasonal, outdoor water park with many pools and slides to choose from. It open Memorial Day weekend and closes Labor day.
I'm not aware of anyone ever dieing there that was the fault of the park. With the heroin epidemic someone may have overdosed in a bathroom or something, but that's hardly the fault of the park. As far as getting hurt, I'm sure people have gotten hurt there, people get hurt all the time in places and ways that can't be foreseen.
I think so, as there's no separate ticket for that.
