Some of the best days of my life were at the Lansingburgh Boys and Girls club. Sports, friends, trips, education...the list goes on. They should have charged me rent, I basically lived there during my youth. Loved Joe, still love Mike !! This is a place where people care about the kids.

A reasonably priced, SAFE, positive place for kids to go before and after school and in the summer. They do alot with and for the kids and the community as a whole.

As a former Club kid (late 80’s-early 90’s), I can’t express in words my sincerest gratitude to the staff at the LBGC (Joe-RIP, Mike, JoAnn, Treva, and Jimbo). The Club provided me a safe haven away from harms way. The coaching, mentoring, and teaching by the above staff continues to pay rewarding dividends in my great life today. In an effort to give back to something so great, I am an active Board Member at the Club in our community in Southwest Florida. To the staff at the LBGC, Thank You very much for keeping me safe and making me a positive Leader today; personally and professionally. To the other Club kids and families, please embrace the staff and Mission of the Boys & Girls Club. By doing so, you will also enhance your chances of becoming a successful Leader. Living The Dream! I attended this club as a child. Through my personal experience, I highly recommend not bringing your children here. Why? Reason 1. One day I was very excited to go swimming! I was told by counselor Mike "spicks can't go swimming today". I was very confused what this meant as a child and later I asked my mom what that meant. She cried. Reason 2. My finger got caught in a door and was crushed. I asked for help from the counselors. Went to the bathroom by myself to treat the wound until the kind janitor saw me and helped. What's good about it? When I attended, there were so many arcade games my friends and I loved playing! Also loved checkers and lunch.
