Absolutely the worst hospital ever. I would go out of my way to avoid this place but emurgent care said to come to an er to have them do an ultrasound because they couldn’t rule out appendicitis for my son so I came to the closest one and was I disappointed in myself. Every single time I have ever been here it’s been horrible from check in to check out. I sat in the waiting room for an hour before administration took us back only to be put back in waiting room. Waited approx 15 minutes more before ultrasound and blood work and now hour and half later we’re still waiting. Pretty sure my son doesn’t have appendicitis but it should not take this long. PLEASE IF YOU CAN!!!!!! GO TO A DIFFERENT HOSPITAL!!!!!!! But the two nurses that took my sons blood one male and one female were absolutely amazing!!! They talked him through the whole thing and I would like to give them two an absolute 5 star. But the ultrasound nurse ehh she might have been new so I don’t want to say she was slow. * update I asked the nurse what’s going on because been here for ever said everything came back she will go Harass the doctor. Hour later doctor comes in to tell us everything is fine. Another 20 minute for the paperwork and someone to come take the iv out of his arm and we might be able to leave

I have been here twice and each time the care was stellar from the greeting at the reception desk, to the check-in people, to the nurses and other staff. Every single person was friendly and went out of their way to respond to my needs. For same day surgery the care was perfect before and a specific nurse took care of me from recovery to discharge with a friendly competence that you usually just see on tv shows. This stands in sharp contrast to Albany Medical Center where the medical care is great but patient care is poor.

My experience at the ER yesterday was appalling. While (at the beginning) the staff was very nice and understanding, they did absolutely nothing for me. I showed up in 10/10 pain after having a colonoscopy 48 hours prior, they did a CT, found nothing and sent me home. I wasn't even offered any pain medication. I collapsed twice just walking to my car LEAVING THE ER. I left in the same exact condition that I showed up in, and the doctor did nothing but give me excuses as to why he couldn't help me. Oh, let's not forget to add in the nurse accusing me of drug seeking. I put my foot down and stayed while they tried to discharge me because I demanded a better pain management plan until my follow up and I could hear the nurses talking RIGHT OUTSIDE MY ROOM about how "this girl wouldn't leave". Sorry if I wanted some relief, that's usually why people go to the hospital. My bad. Next time I have an emergency this will be the absolute last place I go. Doctors....DO BETTER

I recently had 2 visit to the ER at Samaritan for 2 different health problems. Both times I was seen in a timely matter and was treated by the staff with care and respect. I'm very happy with the treatment I got to get myself feeling better. Thank you for the great care. I am very grateful!
