Dr. Feldman ruined my childhood. When I was 13 my mother became depressed, and he put her on all types of medication, Ambien being one of them. She was on it for four years. If you do a simple google search you will learn that Ambien is not supposed to be used long term. None of her problems ever got better by taking medicine. She stayed locked away in her dark room room for those years in which we were support be a family. She never needed any medication, all she needed was more love in her life. It’s my fault just as much as Dr. Feldman, I should have been there for her but I was also depressed and hurt because she was depressed. 3 years into being prescribed Ambien she was then also prescribed Seroquel, a year goes by and at this point she’s totally gone. I thought I completely lost my mom to mental illness for good even though she wasn’t even 50 yet. She was acting psychotic and schizophrenic, thinking these people were watching her through outlets and her phone, not sleeping for multiple days in a row, walking around the house talking literal gibberish... and would lie about not sleeping. We had to go to so many other doctors just to find out what was wrong. Finally after months of this another doctor helped us learn that the Seroquel was causing lithium to build up in her liver, which caused her to go crAzy. These doctors hand out medicine like it’s candy, I will honestly never be able put myself and their shoes and understand their lack of morals. If you have problems, please consider an environment or lifestyle change, there are no quick fixes in life you can’t trust Dr. Feldman and you can’t trust anybody who’s getting paid ridiculous amounts of money to “help” you. You can’t rely on medicine that’s been made in literal laboratories to fix your problems either, period.

Dr. Feldman is wonderful! I have seen several Psychiatrist in the past and none are comparable. There is normally a long wait, but he is worth it! The office also has evening hours and weekend appointments! This is rare for a Psychiatrist since most are only open Mon-Fri 9:00am- 5:00pm.

I was going to leave three stars in good faith however after reading other reviews and realizing that this is not just my experience I think 2 stars is more fitting. As others will say here, wait times are insane. I waited 1.5 hours before being seen today (granted I came 15 minutes early). I'm sure Dr. Feldman is a good doctor but I only need to be seen for a few minutes to continue medication management. In a busy workday, the last thing I want to do is be waiting for so long just so I can receive meds. I'll be looking for another provider that is able to respect my time more.

Hello everyone from the Tampa and St. Petersburg Bay Area . I am a licensed nurse and have been for more than a decade In Florida . My mental illness was life threatening late 1980's to early 1990's . It took a half of a decade to accept my illness and comply with my Psychiatrist.Because I was a young adult and I really did not know any better .From social security disability payments and Medicare coverage to a Full time Florida Nurse . No Dr. Feldman was not there for me early on in my recovery , but I knew who he was and I crossed paths with him while attending self help groups for people with mental illness . It has been my privilege to be a colleague in a couple of different facilities . And ultimately I chose to start seeing Dr. Feldman for medicine management about 4 years ago . He is compassionate and really cares for me . I find this to be of the utmost importance . His manner is mild and I am pleased with services . If you are looking for a non-judge mental unselfish psychiatric Doctor . Then please look no further . I recommend Dr. Alan Feldman .
