My sister was a recent patient. She was there for eight days. The first four days were spent in ICU, and the last were spent in a regular room. She contracted covid early on and was tested positive by day four. So, by the time she was moved to a regular room she was in quarantine with no visitors. Thank GOD she was alert and oriented and ABLE to advocate for herself because the staff literally forgot to feed her.And not just once. Her tray was forgotten on multiple occasions by multiple people on different days and different meals. On one day both her breakfast AND LUNCH was not brought to her. She asked them to at least bring her some crackers and they forgot THOSE. We, her FAMILY, Had to drop off food from the grocery store to the nurses station so she would have SOMETHING to eat. She couldn't even go to the vending machine because she was quarantined and she had no money with her. But, that shouldn't have been even a CONCERN. What if she COULDN'T have spoken up? What if she had been an elderly patient with dementia or just unable to communicate? This is absolutely unacceptable!!! Obviously the techs are overworked and understaffed. Before covid, dietary would have brought the trays so that the nurses and techs could do the OTHER thousand things THEY need to do. I'm NOT blaming the nurses OR the Techs. I'm blaming administration. The café is closed. The large vending area is only open to staff even though patients and patient families can SEE it. It's weird. She lost eight pounds in four days. And no, she didn't need to lose ANY weight. This is a direct complaint to administration regarding understaffing issues. The Nurse's and techs are doing their best, PROBABLY. Not feeding the patients is unacceptable. Thank God it was my sister who can speak for herself and not my mother or someone who can't advocate for themselves. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Withholding food, even accidentally seems like a human rights violation. Maybe you should just go back to the old days where dietary delivers trays and everyone got their meals. Because my sister was not fed at least 5 meals in the 4 days she was out of ICU. Of course, in ICU she was very well taken care of. But she missed at least five meals once in a regular room. I mean she wasn't even OFFERED those meals. I hope this is resolved by administration and NEVER happens to another patient again. And I'm warning all of you who have loved ones there, ESPECIALLY if they can't speak up, make sure they are being fed! Nutrition is VITAL to health and healing and skin break down in the elderly. Be vigilant!

I have to say I have been in and out of hospital most of my life but Catersville Medical Center I don’t know how to describe how excellent is this hospital the doctors, nurses, kitchen staff and cleaning service the entire staff and the cleanliness of the hospital is incredibly PERFECT! the professionalism is beyond excellent, the care and concern for their patients, the time they take to listen to the patient concerns I highly recommend anyone to come to this hospital as well to work for this hospital, the respect they have for one another and how energetic and positive is the environment. If anyone give it a bad review is because is that person who has personal issues not the hospital trust me.

My husband went here with a bad toe infection. He was being treated by a doctor who was going to do an amputation but got sick and needed to go to the ER for immediate treatment. Worst decision we could have made! The ER put an incorrect wristband on him and no one noticed until he spoke to someone in registration. He had gotten medicine and blood drawn and no one scanned his bracelet to determine it was the wrong patient. Several other things happened too but it it too much to put here. Basically, the ER nurses laughed off the error and said it was no big deal. I have tried to call Hospital Administration and have left 3 messages but no one calls me back. This could have been an huge error! But thank the Lord it was not. The ONLY reason I am giving 2 stars is because he had a couple of really great nurses up on the floor after he was admitted.

Many times there may be an emergency patient coming in by ambulance or there are times when it's busier than usual. I came in to the medical center by ambulance and the nurses and paramedics came straight to me because the ambulance called my emergency to the ER before I got there. Also this time of year with colds, etc. affecting more and more children parents will use the ER like a doctor's visit because they don't have health insurance to go elsewhere. And you know who winds up paying for that visit, me and you, and it also drives costs up. We get penalized for having healthcare coverage.

Try sulfur 8 shampoo and conditioner I really don't know but I say try that cause it's very strong and it will make your scalp tingle.

I am sorry to hear that you and friend or family are going through such difficult days! In past experience, patient is held at psychiatric unit of hospital for 3 days (if the suicide attempt did not necessarily require hospital stay). I am not sure if Cartersville Medical Center has a psychiatric unit but I believe patient will have a say in who knows where they are going. I hope i helped and may God Bless You through this time.

Go to the medical records at the hospital. In the front entrance, go straight to the front hall and go left. Medical Records is just down the hall on the right.

Because it's an "Emergency Room" !!! When you take a child that needs a bandaid, to the emergency room, most insurances won't pay because it's not a justified emergency, and you are using the resources ie... doctors, nurses, room that would normally go to an emergent patient so you have to pay for that. Maybe next time consider urgent care or better yet a Walgreens. SMH

I'm not sure what happened with others, but I was inpatient there 4 different occasions in the past month. As I was always npo the first few days, by day 3 or 4, even soup was amazing to me. However, I must say, that as someone who worked in healthcare for 30 yrs, eating many a meal as a patient as well as on staff, I have had the pleasure and sometimes regret, of eating in many facilities. I truly enjoyed all meals served me while inpatient on the floor, and was very pleasantly surprised at how delicious I felt their food truly was, at least to me!
