For an organization that is supposed to help injured folks, these doctors can't get the job done. I showed up and gave them all of my personal identification and insurance info. After waiting 40 minutes sitting on the curb outside, they said I could not be seen in the office because I was honest on my intake forms about having asthma and describing my cough. I was there to be seen about an elbow injury. They said I needed a COVID test to enter and they would not provide a test at that time. I'm on a road trip and leaving town in 20 hours. So, I cannot recommend these doctors for anyone who needs URGENT CARE.

While my actual visit was very pleasant with the medical staff, I am disappointed in how the billing has been handled. I was quoted $300-$350 for an out-of-pocket visit for a cough, including a COVID and flu test. My short visit was helpful with how to care for the non-viral bronchitis symptoms I was experiencing. However, when I checked out I was shocked to see my bill at the end of my visit was $564. The front desk receptionist could not provide more information on why, citing it was a billing department matter. When I reached out the next day with my concern, I did receive a very basic bill for the billing department. I have since been reaching out frequently requesting more information, to which my requests have been ignored via email and with no phone calls back. I completely understand an estimate is an estimate, but it is not reasonable or best practice for my bill (expected in full at the time of service) to be nearly DOUBLE the quote for what was a quick and straight forward visit. I used to love Alpine Urgent Care pre-COVID but will not be going back after such a negative billing experience.

I cut my hand today and stopped by Alpine "urgent" care center. Doors were locked, they had all windows covered with paper so you couldn't see in. Apparently, this place is not Urgent care, it's a covid testing facility. March 22, 2022, and the staff is still milking Covid, hiding behind locked doors. Don't bother calling phone numbers on the door. You will be greeted with a 10-minute annoying speech, followed by choices you can select. No one will answer any of the choices you select

This place was amazing before COVID. Now it’s assembly line medicine. I waited in the car, had nasal and throat swabs that seemed way more painful at the awkward angle of through the car window, and had to do the initial consult over the phone, even though I was having trouble talking and it was hard to understand me. I consented to a COVID test and a strep test. I got billed for a strep test and, mysteriously, two flu tests (I still need to call and complain about that, as I did not have flu symptoms). When I finally got inside, the PA who saw me kept joking around about how my throat was “gross”, which didn’t feel cute and funny to me as bad as I was feeling. I got an accurate diagnosis, but I realized after I left I got only flimsy instructions for the medicine I was prescribed and didn’t get a copy of my COVID or strep tests. There was also no discussion of the potential side effects of the meds, which the pharmacist’s paperwork made sound kind of alarming. The medicine turned out to be really ineffective—the bottle said it might take 2 months to work!—and I switched to the home remedy the PA actually advised me not to use. It worked a lot better! Then I went to my chiropractor, who gave me some stuff that had me 100% back to normal in two days. They just seem burned out at Alpine Urgent Care and their formerly warm and supportive bedside manner has fallen by the wayside in the pandemic. Go somewhere else.
