Outstanding service and a bargain at twice the price. As an attorney myself, I think I have a good ability to judge and our interactions with Greg and his firm were nothing short of exceptional and professional. I recommend them without hesitation. They did all of our estate planning documents, poas, Heath care surrogates, etc. This was all provided to us on paper in a nice binder, and electronically on an easy to carry card with a usb to plug into our computer. They really know what they are doing.

Greg and his team are absolutely amazing. I am so glad that my mother and I decided to work with Greg to write up her will and get her estate planning matters in order. He is extremely knowledgeable, understanding and just an all around great person. Same with his staff. He answered every question I had with a high level of clarity and gave advice to my mother and I about things that helped us greatly, that would have never crossed our minds. The whole process from start to finish was smooth and easy. Even when my mother ended up back in the hospital during the time we had an appointment, he and his staff were so understanding and compassionate. They even offered to go to the hospital to finalize everything if we truly thought that she wasn’t going to make it. Thankfully, she made it out and we actually just got home from our meeting with Greg to finalize all of the paperwork. We had such a great experience with him that I felt compelled to write a review. Especially because the way that we found and decided to work with Greg was from all of the great reviews that we read. I highly recommend Greg and his team to anyone who is looking for an attorney to help them with wills and estate planning matters. Thank you Greg and Chelsea, you guys are amazing!

We recently decided that it was time for us to think about Estate Planning. We are so happy that we chose this Law Firm! Not only are they knowledgeable regarding Florida law, but they also genuinely care about their clients. Right from the first visit I felt that I could relax because We were in good hands. Greg also offers so many “extras” such as monthly on line informational sessions, client appreciation days and much more. Greg and Chelsea encourage you to contact them with any questions or concerns and you can tell that the are sincere. Thank you to Greg, Chelsea and the rest of the staff for your professional service, your expertise and for making us feel welcomed and at ease. I would highly recommend this Law Firm if you have Estate Planning or Elder Law needs.

Questions & Answers

Why do I care about Florida probate? I’ll be dead and my kids can deal with it, right?

Emily Onimus | Sep 5, 2020

Florida probate can be a tough process for all involved. While you may not worry about it, based on your statement, it is still something you may want to avoid. If you only have a will you may end up in probate, where a trust may have been able to avoid this process. Probate is an after-death process to pay off your final bills and expenses and then distribute your assets to your beneficiaries. Attorney Greg Kaiser will make sure your personal representative follows all of the proper probate procedures.

Are internet forms just as good as working with a Florida estate planning attorney? It’s just a one time thing, right?

Everyone needs a Florida estate plan and online forms are risky. Florida has many quirks to the law, like Homestead, that attorney Greg Kaiser can guide you through. Helping you with the decision to use a Will or Revocable Trust, or even more importantly, while you are alive, making sure you have the appropriate health care documents like a durable power of attorney, health care surrogate and living will. Beyond that, his expertise is invaluable and he can show you why you need an attorney to help you through this.

Is Medicare the same as Medicaid? Will it pay for an elderly parent's bill in a nursing home? I saw from the posts that your firm does this, can you give me more information?

Robert Ehrhardt | Sep 5, 2020
Fernando Orrego | Sep 5, 2020

Medicare only pays for things like doctor visits and prescription medications, it doesn't pay for a Florida assisted living or nursing home monthly charges. Attorney Greg Kaiser is an excellent resource to review your Florida Medicaid Planning options and plan for the future should you have any elder care and elder law needs. No one wants to think about it, but you don't want to be stuck and find yourself in a position where you don't have the proper estate planning documents like a durable power of attorney and health care surrogate to protect yourself and your assets.

My nephew died recently. Was never married nor had children. His mother is his only survivor. Now,! He left just over $1000 . The bank requires it go through probate?????

Potentially, yes, George. Probate is an after death administrative process when a person dies owning money or property in their name only with no beneficiary designation. If your nephew's account with Bank of America was in his name only and no one was listed as a beneficiary on the account, it is going to have to be probated. Give me a call (I don't charge for phone calls) @ 941-914-9145 and we can discuss a couple possible options that would take up too much space to type here.
