There are some employees that will do all they can to help a customer But then there’s Gina I’ve had many encounters with this woman and she’s turned me away with no one in line simply because there aren’t any other waiting without an appointment which clearly doesn’t make sense, and will do everything in her power to turn you away with simple issues regarding licenses , I truly believe she may be prejudiced or racist and has a much better attitude while helping lighter pigmented people… But that’s not a surprise in Florida she is the worst person to deal with in the dmv in Cape Coral everyone else is great.

Year 2022 and still working by appointments only (having the appointment option is fine) but not taking walk-ins at all during the day? Guys you need to update and aim to actually try to solve tax-payers needs in a timely manner.

Thank you to representatives Bree and Deisy for making today such a painless experience. Their knowledge and expertise in helping us navigate the system was fantastic. We found the online scheduling to be very easy. Once we arrived, we were quickly seen with appointments, although the waiting room quickly filled up. Within thirty minutes, we had driver's licenses, changed our title and registration of our cars, and registered to vote as new residents of Cape Coral. We were even able to get saltwater fishing licenses while we were there, which was an added bonus. Both representatives were courteous, efficient, helpful, and an absolute pleasure to work with. Thank you, City of Cape Coral, for hiring these superb employees!

Cape Coral just makes Everything so complicated and The tax collector is no different! You can’t get a hold of anyone on the phone. So you have to go in or email which takes 5-7 days to respond. You have to have an appointment for EVERY question.🤦♀️My title was lost in transit. I emailed them and was told to fill out a form and submit to tax collector. It gives you a website where there is no way to upload or fax to submit. Says nothing about an appointment. It is 2022. Why do you not have a way to fill out these things online or a fax/email to upload and send. Seems to me that would control the process more smoothly. Individuals are taking hours and days off work for something that often takes five minutes. Costing an individual to lose hundreds if not thousands of dollars to take off work. Updating of the system and process is desperately needed. Then they respond to the reviews apologizing. The apologies mean nothing. Do something about it. All the complaints are basically same issues. Review responder…who actually is responsible for fixing this mess. I want a name?!

Either 8 am or 4 PM. Make an appointment if you can.
Yes
What size trailer?
Yes
No, just along wait. It moves fairly fast though. Although, I'd suggest you do it online if possible.
Yes as long as you make a appointment.
Lee County Tax collector, but I usually have them stamp it so I don't have to write all that out.
Property Deeds are maintained by the Clerk of Courts and can be located online. There are two options to search online: 1. Use the Property Appraiser’s Property Data Search to locate the property record and click “Parcel Details.” The link directly to the deed(s) will be located under the “Sales/Transactions” tab. 2. Search directly though the Clerk of Courts Official Records Search to locate the deed. If tyou cannot locate the deed online or has questions, the Clerk of Courts phone number for official records inquiries is 239-533-5007.
Good afternoon! A certificate of title properly signed over to you would be required to process a transfer of ownership/registration for the travel trailer.
Good afternoon! You don't need to take any action now that the loan has been paid off. The electronic title can be printed whenever you want and a physical copy is only needed to transfer ownership. If you do want to obtain the title, you can order an electronic title print through the MyDMVPortal or make an appointment for in-person service.
You need an appointment with Lee Country Tax. This can also be done online
Good morning. I am sorry to hear about your husband's passing. We have Friday afternoon appointments available at our Downtown, Bonita, Lehigh and North locations. If you are in Cape Coral, Downtown or North are probably the closest service centers to you. Here is the link to make an appointment (you may have to copy and paste it into a browser): https://www.leetc.com/contact-us/appointment You want to choose titles/registrations as the appointment type.
I would to verify
Good morning. You can make an appointment at one of our service centers to replace your license. You may also walk in, however the wait time will be long as we prioritize those with appointments. It is also possible that you can replace your DL online through the MyDMVPortal (https://mydmvportal.flhsmv.gov) To renew or replace a credential online, the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles must verify a customer’s Social Security number. If the department is unable to verify, the customer must follow up with the Social Security Administration. Customers using MyDMV Portal should receive their credential in the mail within 2-3 weeks from the transaction.
Hello Out-of-state residents may use their license to drive anywhere in the United States. Customers from out of the country who are visiting here can also drive with their driver's license from the country of origin. Thank you!
Hi Camille! Is your title on paper, or electronic? You can use this link to check: https://services.flhsmv.gov/MVCheckWeb/ The answer to this question will determine next steps. Thanks!
Good morning. If you need a copy of the paper itself, and not the sticker, you can use the MyDMV Portal (https://mydmvportal.flhsmv.gov/Home/en/Account/Landing). You can also come in person to a tax collector service center. We would just need valid identification. Hope this helps!
Good morning. You can submit online at http://flhsmv.gov/ddl/cdlmedicalcert.html You may have to copy and paste the URL into a browser window. Thank you!
Good morning! Yes, it can. You can mail your completed application to PO Box 1590 Fort Myers, FL 33902-1590. If it is a permanent parking permit you may also use the MyDMVExpress Portal. This is the address: https://mydmvportal.flhsmv.gov/Home/en/Account/Landing Thank you!
You go to the lee county tax collector and have your papers available and signed from your Dr if you have never had one before.
Hi Brenda! We are recommending appointments, however we do have limited same day availability. As an alternative, you might meet the requirements for being able to renew your license online and having it mailed to you, which could save you time. Here is a link to help: https://www.flhsmv.gov/driver-licenses-id-cards/renew-or-replace-your-florida-driver-license-or-id-card/
Good morning! He is welcome to title/register the motorcycle in Pennsylvania. The only concern might be how to legally transport it there. If it is being transported on a trailer, you are fine. However, if it's being driven back, he will need a temporary tag if the following circumstances are true: 1. The motorcycle currently has a Florida title 2. The title is properly completed for transfer to the new owner 3. The new owner is a resident of another state presenting valid identification 4. The new owner pays sales tax to Florida (equivalent to home state tax, not to exceed 6%) and signs / is provided with original form DR-402 to prove taxes paid when titling back in home state If the customer did want a temporary tag, we recommend making a “Titles & Registrations” appointment for service. We hope that helps!
Good afternoon. We recommend appointments but are taking a limited number of walk-ins at each of our locations based on availability. Long waits are expected as we are prioritizing those with appointments. Thank you!
Yes, to drive a motorcycle of 50cc's or more, it is required to have a license with a motorcycle endorsement.
Hi Jose! It depends on the type of title you have. If the title is electronic, you can request that it be printed and mailed to you. You can do that online and should receive it in about a week. The title can also be printed in-person with a Titles & Registration appointment. Mailed electronic title costs $2.50; in-person is $10.00. If the title was last issued on paper, you would have to apply for a duplicate title using this form: https://www.flhsmv.gov/pdf/forms/82101.pdf You can do that in person (with a “Titles & Registrations” appointment) or by mail. If the title has multiple owners and your names are joined by “AND,” both owners must sign the application; otherwise, only one owner is required to sign. A duplicate paper title will cost $85.75. You can use FLHSMV’s Motor Vehicle Information Check Web site or MyDMV Portal to determine if your title is paper or electronic. If its electronic, you can use the MyDMV Portal to have it printed and mailed to you.
Either schedule an appointment or if you do a walk in be sure to be 815am and it will be a min 2 hour wait
