Boxer Buddy
I found a cat that was very friendly, I was able to take him or her to the MCHS. The Staff was really friendly and on top of their game. I felt comfortable leave the cat with them. It was a really friendly cat white with brown and gray. If I like cats I would of kept him or her. If your look for a cat definitely go there to check out this one !! Thanks and I hope the cat gets adopted

Great experience. They went out of thier way to help us find the right kitty.

Poor service from the moment I walked in. Talk about bad first impressions. I went to donate food, and I was greeted by an older white lady saying you can't bring your dog in( no sign anywhere advising on this). As I am struggling to balance the cans of donated food, she kept repeating/yelling this. Her approach was overall rude and made me want to take my food elsewhere, but I thought of the dogs not her. I was disappointed.

I adopted the best tempered and most well behaved dog I have ever had from the Montgomery County Humane Society. The staff and facilities are excellent and everyone who works there is incredibly friendly. They are also very honest about the dogs and their primary concern is that they go to a good home that is going to be good for both the animal and the new parents. When we get our next dog I will be returning, I don't think a better experience would have been possible!

You must be 18 years or older to volunteer. (I tried too)
The event is being held April 28th from 12-4 pm its a one day event
They're all good dogs
Yes, they would love them. You can drop them off as well as get a tax deduction if needed.
You can visit them and drop off donations during the visiting hours. The address is on the website
Call your local animal shelter or try to lure it with food if you see it. They might be fine if it is not too cold but I would try calling the shelter for advice or try to bring it in
Question neighbors
I know that they spay and neuter but I don't know the cost
Yes, you can. Male sire to call 1st, due to COVID some policies have changed.
I believe so
You can check their website to see who is ready for a new home. mchumane.org/adopt
They might u have to call for an appointment
MCHS does Not commit euthanasia. Every animal is safe and stays at the shelter until Adoption.
Check their website/social media/contact then directly. I've found them to be very responsive to questions. Lots of area shelters are waiving or discounting adoption fees for the month of August to "Clear the Shelters".
Possibly. If not they can usually refer you to the correct place that will.
We don't adppt out rabbits. However,.I. am sure that Montgomery county animal services can use it.
Montgomery County Humane Society is a private rescue and does not handle this type of situation. Instead, call the police non-emergency line at 301-279-8000. (If it is an emergency, call 911.)
is this where you adopt a baby kitten for free?
Frequently.
No the Humane Society doesn't have a foster program
I think they would be more likely to respond if you call them
The Montgomery County brings all its animals in from other shelters. MCHS doesn't accept animals from the general public. Montgomery county animal services takes animals from the general public.
I do not know how much it costs
No, cats and dogs only.
There may be from time to time, but check the website to see what's available on any given day. https://www.mchumane.org/adoptable-pets/ Also consider searching online for breed specific rescues.
I believe they can but to be sure call 240-252-2555.
I don't know, but I'm sure you could find out by calling them
Yes
Not sure if they have any in, give them a call
No you would have to contact Montgomery county Animal Services we are a private non profit adoption agency only we do not pick up animals
Yes we will accept the food and you can get a tax donation receipt for them
Everyday they get dogs
I have in the past. Usually it's centered on a family moving or relocating.
11 am to 5 pm.
It's best to go look for yourself. We went about a month ago and they only had about 8 to 10 cats, maybe 10% kittens.
