The front desk is such a nightmare to deal with. The person I have to speak with every time is so unpleasant, unhelpful, and blatantly rude. She makes this experience a nightmare. I would give one star but one of the doctors, Dr Macy, is pretty knowledgeable and helpful so she herself deserves a good review. She’s the only reason we put up with this place.

I only come here for Dr. Esch who is a great veterinarian. For this reason, I took time from medical school to drive all the way to this location only to be told that my appointment was canceled. I acknowledge I was late by 15 minutes due to traffic, but I had tried calling 30 minutes before my appointment with no answer and left a voice-mail explaining the situation without a call back. Even after explaining this, I got a cold, unprofessional response from the front desk. .... Flash Forward to December 2021... Over, the past couple of days, our cat Link was definitely not feeling or looking well. We were concerned that he was going to die if he did not get seen. After calling several times, Banfield just kept saying that they would not be able to see him. He unfortunately deteriorated and this afternoon, he passed away at another vet hospital. I would definitely recommend searching for some other local vets before you get roped into a Banfield plan that won't provide them service when they need it.

The doctors at the Leesburg Banfield are all top notch, but I've been scheduling with Dr Esch since I moved into the area about 4 years ago. She always takes a vested interest in all my pets (a senior cat and 2 golden retrievers), always asking about the others when I visit. The techs are also wonderful, knowledgeable, and caring. This vet feels like a small town vet, and the staff adds to that. Highly recommended

I had a very poor experience with this location's front desk. I dropped my puppy off for one shot at 12:00pm and all of his other shots have taken about 20 minutes which is what I was expecting this time. It was 3:00pm and I still had not heard one thing from them. I went to see if he was ready and Molly, at the front desk was very unprofessional, unapologetic, and said that he still wouldn't be ready for another hour. When I asked if I could just take him because he still had not eaten lunch, she said we could but they were booked until July and they could not get him in. They claimed that the doctor had surgery that lasted longer than they thought, which is totally fine but one would think they would at least reach out and tell me that it would be several more hours, not 20 minutes. When he was finally ready to be picked up the doctor called me and said they they fed him by "throwing food on the floor" and claimed "he had so much fun eating it on the floor." I find that a little concerning and a bit unsanitary and odd that is how they chose to feed him and how she chuckled when she told me that. Molly also told me that they walk the dogs every 30 minutes, which I find very hard to believe considering they didn't even have time to call me and tell me they were backed up. He peed for a very long time as soon as we got him outside so I do not believe that they even let him out in the time span he was there. I do NOT recommend this Banfield's location and I will be switching locations.

No, but you can call us during hospital hours for urgent care advice. Depending on the situation, we can help provide a referral for urgent care, specialty providers, or to an emergency hospital. During non-hospital hours, please contact your local emergency hospital.
We believe that preventive care is the most effective way to keep your pet healthy throughout all stages of life. Our pet hospitals offer many preventive care treatments, including: • Vaccinations • Dental Care • Parasite Control • Nutritional Counseling • Behavioral Counseling • Comprehensive Examinations
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
