We attended an event & needed to get passes online. However when our passes were checked at the entrance gate they were Not Valid. Evidently it was because my husband was ex military. He was discharged over 30 years ago. Since he doesn't carry his DD214 or his old ID. So we had to wait for clearance. The website for getting passes should have an area for ex military info. The gate guard states this has happened before.

The older black woman was the BOSS!!!! As I approached the visitors center there was like a dozen or so folks in line. The lady handled both windows at the same time!!!! As a 18 year veteran I so appreciate her hard work. I am 10 minutes from Meade but drive over an hour to get things done at APG. Ma'am thanks for taking pride in your work. God bless

APG is a very interesting place although the serious work here cannot in all likelihood be discussed. The people who work here are very nice but also very professional. Its a military installation and has its own protocols. Don't play games, obey the rules and you'll be fine. The base itself seems to have great facilities for our service members. Commissary, movie theater, gas station, supermarket etc are all there. The grounds are neat and well kept. In another life it might be nice to work here.

You don't have to wait the day of. You can get a pass online. When you do it online the pass is good for a week. When you come to 715 gate ask the guard for a QR code. You use your phone to scan the code. Once the page comes up hit visitors pass and fill in all your information it ask for. When you get to the end just close it out. It will say to wait on a email. You don't have to wait on a email. So don't panic if you don't get one. Once you've closed it out the process is already done. When you go to the gate let the guard know you did it online an he will then ask for your drivers license so he scan the baroda on the back. Your picture should show up. If all is good you will have access to the base. Like I said before when you do it online your pass is good for a week.
