I've been on the phone for an hour trying to get ahold of someone because I didn't receive my benefits this month and EVERY website isn't working at all.

Front staff should learn basic customer service skills. It's rude to talk to your coworkers in Spanish when you have a customer right in front of you. And I speak Spanish so I know what she was saying and it wasn't nice about other wic customers. SO unprofessional and just rude

Where can I have my birth certificate looked at to make sure is the right one since I’m going on a cruise and I was born in Puerto Rico.

Carlos Corchado | Sep 6, 2019
Florida Department of Health in Hillsborough County (WIC) | Sep 6, 2019

Mr. Corchado, Thank you for contacting the Florida Department of Health in Hillsborough County, Office of Vital Statistics. We issue birth certificates for anyone born within the State of Florida, but cannot confirm the validity of certificates issued outside of our state. I would contact the Port Authority in the city from which your cruise ship departs, and have them verify if the certificate that you have is acceptable. Ultimately, it will be their decision as to whether they will accept the certificate and allow you to board the ship. If you want further information on verifying birth records from Puerto Rico, you can call the Vital Statistics Office in Puerto Rico at (787) 765-2929 Ext. 6131, but I would suggest checking with the Port Authority first.
