We purchased over $40K in PGT windows/sliders for our new home in 2016. All Windows and Glass from Sarasota installed them. While the energy efficiency of these hurricane windows and doors is very good, we have had numerous problems with both the double hung and crank-out casement windows. Both PGT and All Windows & Glass were out to repair the windows several times in the first year, but their repairs did not last and we were soon beyond the warranty period. Neither PGT or All Windows and Glass would extend the warranty and blamed each other for the windows poor performance. For the past 4+ years we have had to live with several windows that cannot stay open. We also had two of the crank-out casement windows crack for no apparent reason, but that happened beyond the 1 year warranty and are not covered. Overall we are extremely disappointed in our PGT experience and would never buy windows or sliders from them again.

Absolutely NO customer service! I have a 6 year old window with a broken seal resulting in moisture between the panes. Nobody at PGT returns phone calls and it takes them weeks to reply to email, and then they tell you to call the dealer, who tells you to call PGT. I predict it's only a matter of time before the seals break on all the windows. Also, the windows provide no energy savings at all. DON'T BUY THESE WINDOWS!

I think there is a defect to these windows. Mine are one year old, and I had too have one window repaired twice, the plastic part that I guess is under tension broke. I had that repaired, then the other side broke, so I had that repaired. Then, last week, in our other bathroom, without even using the window, we heard a loud bang. No one was in there or using the window, the plastic part exploded. My son came out of his room asking me what happened. I am afraid to open any window until it can be explained to me what is going on. I have a call in to the company that installed them to come repair this window. When I can get a good feeling that there is no defect and my window (s) are repaired, then I will change my review rating. Update 11/23/21 - PGT came out and repaired the balancer on my window. I understand that labor is short, so no problem with it taking a while, at least they were nice, called me, and came out. So far so good, I had them check all the windows, so all is good now. I really do like the windows, it was just a balancing issue on two windows, they were more custom than the other windows so that may have had something to do with it. All good at this time.

Window failure after 6 years. Our neighbor paid $$$$$ for hurricane picture window in her townhome in 2015. We purchased it, and noticed that the huge picture window in the living room had circular streaks all through it. These streaks weren't on the inside or outside. They were in between the panes of glass. The window/window seals had failed. Contacted PGT windows and was told warranty was for original owner only, they would not replace anything. No discount offered to replace. Save your money. These expensive windows are not worth it if they won't last longer than 6 years, especially here in Florida.

The SGD is designed to drain water.
Hello Mike! What form did you use? As for commercial leads, please submit a form on this page: https://wtb.pgtwindows.com/ Thank you for your question!
What type of warranty you tryn to claim? The glass alredy comes whit a label of inspection and impact proof. If is a default glass we wont let it out the door..
Not trying to be smart, but if the high impact window can stop a 2 x 4 at 70 miles per hour, then I don't think an alligator can get in unless you leave the door open.
Our warranty is ten years so you may be in luck if not it's just the balances that may need to be replaced or the clip that holds them in place
No. The 200 series is a non-impact product line.
Yes
The best answer I could give you try to reach out to customer care
you should be able to call and ask for someone to come out and have a look, they should also come out with a replacement if they find something wrong with your order, but you will need to call and report the issue, also having your order number would help
Hi Gregory, we partner with multiple dealers in your area that carry our PGT products. You can learn more by visiting our Where to Buy page: wtb.pgtwindows.com Have a great day!
I'm assuming you're thinking about a green card yes you have to have a green card or a US citizenship before ID anything like that would be good enough and they are hiring
Yes
That could be possible reach out to the company and let them know
Most window companies that sell PGT windows can order screens as replacements
Please contact an authorized dealer with PGT or PGT Consumer Affairs for that answer
That depends on what kind of locks it has and if it's working properly. If there's a problem with the window, I could take a look at it for you
They certainly should be
Call a local dealer for parts.
Probably from the sun heat, should be covered. Call and complain
No one can stop or guarantee that no one is going to take the screen out of your window and rob you. I suggest you get a large dog from your local animal shelter or don't leave your windows open.
Please contact your local dealer. These can be provided.
Lowes sells the tool
There are several reasons for this, I would suggest contacting a servicing dealer to see if your door needs new rollers or if it is something else. You may have sand debris in the roller making it hard to move. Do not spray WD-40 it will attract more dirt and debris.
PGT windows are known to delaminate between glass and film in middle of glass. I would look for another brand that FIRMLY stands behind it's manufacturing defects. Don't get burned like me and so many others did.
there are many things to consider before a price is given the size of the window the material that are frame is made out of the kind of glass you would like the best thing to do is to get a hold of a PGT representative first
We have a 10-year warranty on all our products
As far as I know we do not supply the screws to install the windows
Your installers should already know this information according to code, if they dont thats a red flag, stop immediately and hire another company.
Yes they are always hiring, if you like to live at work and dont get sick at all this is the perfect place for you.
Ten years and that depends on the tyoe of window you have
I believe you are referring to an Ultra-Lift balance parts installed in your window. I don't know how to refer you to someone who can source you a replacement covering, but I hope providing you with this information assists you on your search.
Should be a logo on the bottom left or right with all the info on the window.
All tempered glass from PGT must have an etching stating where ,when and what type of tempered glass it is.
I don't have any complaint about my windows, as so far those windows are doing well. We happy we my PGT. windows.
You should be able to contact customer service and get the touch up paint and the roller plugs.
Some of your linkage might be loose or missing
No its not closing reopens on Saturday. Closed for Thanksgiving Thursday and Friday
Yes they do as long as you left in good standings
I don't think we make private sales. Call the number provided and we can link you up with one of our dealers who can give you prices.
There is a job fair today..many jobs available...$ 500 bonus. 8am- 11:30
I can take them
PGT does not sell direct to the public. You would need to go through a dealer to purchase vinyl glazing for Eze-Breeze products. Use the website to locate the best distributor.
It used to stand for Progressive Glass Technology but now it is just PGT.
Just call our home office here in Nokomos and ask to speak with an in house sales rep. They will gladly let you know when our price increase will be inaffect and for which regions you may be inguireing.
Company is paying average for the area that starts 12.50$ depending on your skills. But it is booming, so it is a secure job
Yes I do but I would recommend getting them from somewhere else PGT is useless
Probably do but get it from somewhere else
We have in house rep's that can help you with all the different products we manufacture. Old and new. Be sure to ask about friend's and family discounts
Oh yeah. I remember being told that it was going to be a Short Shift.
On one now
I am on "B" Shift. So, I go back tomorrow at 5pm.
Search for them on the internet by manufacturer.
What Andrew said with a few additions. The most common name for the most fragile glass is annealed. There's many different colors of glass and a few different coatings, you can ask about the differences. Check the customer ratings because they're pretty damn bad. There's laminated glass which is a piece of glass with vinyl (what makes the unit impact resistant and keeps the glass together when it breaks), then another piece of glass. The insulated has different variations but in the long run it saves money on bills due to keeping A/C in and outside air out. There's 4 different types of vinyl too, one I haven't seen but heard of, it starts with a v. Then, there's the weakest vinyl which is white vinyl (makes the unit appear with a white tint and can't see through the unit for privacy reasons), the second weakest is PVB (Polyvinyl butyral) when the product is finished it's clear, and the strongest is SGP (Sentry Glass Plus) very very strong but expensive, this is clear as well.
Call during business hours and speak with sales Department.
Yes, PGT will be closed on both days. Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving
Yes they got it....give the customers service a call to assist you better .
You have to go online to apply
You can call and get warranty info. About your specific product. Too many product lines to list here. Each could determine length of warranty
