What Andrew said with a few additions. The most common name for the most fragile glass is annealed. There's many different colors of glass and a few different coatings, you can ask about the differences. Check the customer ratings because they're pretty damn bad. There's laminated glass which is a piece of glass with vinyl (what makes the unit impact resistant and keeps the glass together when it breaks), then another piece of glass. The insulated has different variations but in the long run it saves money on bills due to keeping A/C in and outside air out. There's 4 different types of vinyl too, one I haven't seen but heard of, it starts with a v. Then, there's the weakest vinyl which is white vinyl (makes the unit appear with a white tint and can't see through the unit for privacy reasons), the second weakest is PVB (Polyvinyl butyral) when the product is finished it's clear, and the strongest is SGP (Sentry Glass Plus) very very strong but expensive, this is clear as well.

Yes there are. Definitly do some research before purchasing.
Yes. There are many differences. There are many low emissivity coatings and 3 different kinds of strengths for the glass (monolithic, heat strengthened, and the strongest is tempered). You can also get laminated glass with two different types of vinyl. Also, there three types of insulated windows too!
Yeah .. Tom is right
There's inpact and non inpact glass
