No major complaints until I got to the pharmacy and realized my antibiotics wasn't sent over correctly. I called them and they took my info and said the Dr. I'd seen would call me back. No call back, so I ended up having to go somewhere else anyways. All the while with a horrible infection to deal with. Just sad and a waste of time really.

I went to Albany Med Urgent Care late Sunday afternoon of a holiday weekend. All the staff I interacted with were very nice. I only waited 10 minutes to be seen. The ladies behind the check in were professional. I saw Rob and Owen and I couldn’t be happier with the treatment I received. Both were thorough and knowledgeable.

Went in because I needed an antibiotic. I had been sick for 2-3 days with nothing helping. Sore throat, fever, cough, bacterial colored phlegm. After waiting 3 hours in the waiting room (my mistake I should’ve made an appointment rather than walk in) I was tested for covid, flu and strep. All negative. PA came back and told me there was nothing wrong with me. Even though all symptoms point to a bacterial infection. She even said “color of mucus doesn’t mean anything” “but if you continue to get worse come back” after waiting 3 hours to be seen. A day later the office calls me and says that my insurance website is down. And “I may get a bill, I may not. But I should call them if I get a bill that doesn’t make sense” how is it my problem the website is down. Can’t you recheck rather than it becoming the patients problem? Fast forward a few days later (as I was getting worse) I see a different provider(not AMC) who CONFIRMS it’s an infection, and writes me an antibiotic. At that point it was so late that the infection traveled to my eyes. So not only do I have a sinus infection, but an eye infection as well. The new provider told me “I went too long without an antibiotic” I will never go to an Albany Emurgent care ever again. I am well aware of the statistics on over-prescribing antibiotics. However, there is also the stigma of patients NOT advocating for themselves. And when they do, they are completely disregarded. Now me, the patient is suffering when this all could have been avoided if the PA was willing to take a step back and listen to their patient. I understand that not all experiences are way, and yes. Maybe other patients will have amazing care there. I unfortunately cannot say that was me. I hope the PA I saw maybe does some more research, and has more empathy towards her patients. This is a crazy time for all healthcare, and acting better than everyone because of your degree is NOT how you treat patients.

Yes they are lately a really long 3 hr wait.
15 or 20 it should say it on the front of your insurance card
Yes, they do. At least this past winter they did. Was not exactly happy with thr medical care or the attitudes of that of the clerical help or x ray tech. just an FYI.
