This used to be my neighborhood hardware store, until yesterdsyy. Went in for some plumbing supplies, the gentleman was gracious and assisted me with my puzzle. As soon as he thought we were out of earshot he stated "I'm so tired of F'ing helping those people who have no idea what the F they are doing" I get it since the owner barely pays over $10/hr..

I normally don't have a problem with this place. However today I went there and they asked me for my backpack I refused because well I am not about to hand over my personal property to a complete stranger why so they can go rummaging though my back pack and take whatever they please. They said it was store policy yet they had nothing posted as such no the fact is they rather alienate there customers with a back pack then do there jobs it is pure laziness. I may live on disability and below the poverty line but I am no thief and I am offended by the implication I carry a back pack because it makes it easier to carry when i need to do my shopping these people are more then welcome to follow me around the store if they think i am there to steal but when they ask me to give up my back pack to a complete stranger i have to ask my self why and the why is because they are to lazy to do there jobs plain and simple its easier for the to alienate there customer i doubt i will be going back there ever again it was completely humiliating

They had some hard to find screws I couldn't find at the traditional places (TSC, home depot, Northern, etc). Not that the other places are bad, Tropical deserves credit for making the investment stocking difficult to find inventory (see picture). Well done.
