They just finished my roof last Thursday. The contract and estimate were painless and professional, very capable office staff and friendly to work with . They called me and came earlier than they predicted. The supplies and products were delivered early with impeccable timing. They worked hard replacing several damaged pieces as needed. Unknowingly, I got an email later that night showing 34 pictures of the work they did from the lead man , Jose Bonilla. Jose worked with me continuously, letting me know each day of their progress and more pictures. The roof looks wonderful and my UVM was done quickly too , 3 days later with more pictures to send to my insurance company to get the improvement rate to discount from my insurance company. Solid performance from Craig the estimator , to the office staff as well and the hard working crew in the July blazing Florida heat. I am very pleased with the company. Roofing by Curry recently helped us fix a leak in our 6 year old roof that was challenging to find. They were very persistent in their effort to help us resolve our issue and we never had to wait long for them to respond to our inquiry or to show up at our home. We primarily worked with Jason, who was fantastic, throughout this process, but everyone else from the office team to the group that showed up to make the repair were also excellent as well. Curry Roofing is a quality company with experience and expert employees. This is the second time have used them and I am very satisfied with the work performed and the manner in which it was performed. We had a roof leak of unknown origin. After experiencing delays from the roofer recommended by our insurer, we called Curry and immediately Jay came out to review the situation; discovered that the leak was caused by a faulty vent and scheduled a date/time for its replacement on an emergency basis. The guys who did the work were competent and quite experienced. They carefully removed the old vents; determined that one had been leaking and both were rusted and damaged and replaced them immediately. Quality work all the way. Thanks Curry.

The practice of installing new shingles over old shingles is commonly known as a 'roof over'. It can be done but we do not offer that service or recommend it. It is our opinion that the old layers of shingles need to be removed so the condition of the roof's decking can be addressed. A new shingle roof should last about 15 years in Florida but a roof over has the potential for multiple roof leaks after only 5-8 years.
If the roof is old and needs to be replaced--or if the roof is experiencing leaks, we offer a free estimate and consultation for replacing or repairing. We will present to you our process, our price, and our company. If the roof does not have any apparent issues, but you would like to evaluate it's condition, we offer a Why Worry Roof Report! This report is written after a complete inspection of your roof system, available for only $249. The report includes all functioning areas of your roof as well as a predicted lifespan and any suggested repairs. We are a licensed roofing contractor, so this report can be used for insurance purposes as well.

Thank you for your question! For best practices we would remove both layers of the old shingles right down to the decking. We replace any rotted wood of the decking, then apply new underlayment. Finally, we install the new shingles.

The votes are updated as they come in. However, we can have anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand votes on any given program. The total number of votes determines how much the percentages change. If we have 4,000 votes (which we had in a past program), it would take over 40 to change the numbers by even 1%.
