As a Baycare employee myself, I was so grateful that the worker at the front desk was able to quickly and efficiently work me in on a day that I worked there at the hospital. I absolutely love that Baycare workers value other Baycare workers!

I'm not sure how great an experience one could have get their blood drawn but it a necessary process in life. I will say, the phlebotomist that drew my blood immediately picked up on the fact that I am extremely uncomfortable with the experience. So, she explained the process and kept talking to me to comfort me through the process. Being that I will need to go this process again, I would recommend BayCare Laboratories.

Taken care of by a new team member, Elias (what they were calling him, not the full name on his ID badge). When registering, was asked to confirm my address, and a few seconds later, was told I was all set. I asked if I needed to scan my palm or if he was going to give me an arm band- was told they weren’t necessary. A few minutes later, he calls me to come into the draw station. Honestly don’t remember if he asked for my name/DOB, but he did look at his paperwork to see what blood tubes were needed. I do have to commend him for his technique, it was a painless stick! He draws 1 tube, places the 2nd tube & pops the tourniquet. Blood stops flowing, tube not properly filled. Attempts to reposition, but unable to get blood flowing. Comments he doesn’t want to stick me a 2nd time & I ask if he’s gotten a proper sample. He stated “no”, so I tell him to stick me again. Once again, a painless stick, sample drawn & I’m on my way after he apologizes for having to stick me twice. I’m about a 1/4 of a mile away from the lab when my phone rings & it is him telling me he’s forgotten to get the required urine sample & asks me to come back. As a BayCare employee, this young man requires more training! He’s not following protocols in place for patient safety.

Fast & easy; quick and painless. Nice how everybody REALLY knows what they are doing. Never any sour attitudes, a difficult feat in these troubled times, and especially at the Hospitals. . . *****GOLD STARS & FLOWERS to APPOINTMENT SETTERS***** I have always had the best "luck" getting 2 or 3 necessary appointments all on the the same day, and usually - if not always - it's just 1, 2, 3 and we're out! Tests, X-rays, EKG and others in just ONE trip! The Appointment Setters are right at the top of their game, getting ALL appointments off to a great start!: Every time! This is sure to improve patient/provider interactions across the board.
