I was in this facility for a few days under a voluntary Baker Act. I will say this was my first time being in a mental health facility, after reading the reviews I was very scared. That being said, I had an amazing experience. The help I received from the staff was amazing. Jordan, Veronica and Natalie in the breeze wing made me feel safe and comfortable. I was able to work through many of my issues and while I am not 100%, I am on the road to bettering my mental health and recovery. The other patients were also amazing at helping me realize you are never alone and others are out there struggling just like you. If you are at a place where you need in patient treatment, this place should be one to consider.

Can’t say enough bad things about this place. Staff are awful. Not a kind word. No one looks you in the eye. Zero compassion for the people that they’re caring for. Always on their phones or laughing with each other often times about patients that can’t help themselves. There is no visitation due to Covid which makes no sense. Every other facility is open at this point. 100% they’re closed because they have a lot of Covid cases. That’s the only reason facilities limit visitation. And all of these staff are taking advantage of that. People with severe mental illness are suffering for it.

HORRIBLE PLACE! do not send your loved ones here. If they were taken there unwillingly, try your best to get them out! They literally have you sit in the community room and watch tv all day. No group therapy. Give you unhealthy food so that you sleep the day away. They encourage you to take sleeping meds if you can’t sleep. The doctors also don’t care. They think after speaking to you for 1 minute, they can diagnose you and tell you what’s wrong and why. Horrible staff all together. That is a place for kindness. If you don’t love your job, don’t work there! Look at all these reviews. Be smart. Stay away from this place. You will come out feeling even worse. Trust me.

I was taken in here while on vacation from California headed to WDW. Cops too me in for what they thought was a "suicide attempt" even after explaining in detail, not being emotional. They took my phone and turned it off while headed to the center. There were homeless people everywhere, which wasn't the problem but they were bragging about how they love it here and it was their choice, and for me I was taken against my own will. I got in at about 1am, wasn't seen by ANYONE until 7am. Wasn't given food or water until AFTER being booked. I have NEVER been to jail, but i'm sure it felt exactly like that.

Yes they do.
I agree. For people coming in for inpatient treatment, phones are not allowed on the units. However, the intake department allow you time to retrieve any important numbers before your phone is locked up in the safe. For people coming in as outpatient treatment, phones are permitted.
No. It's just a short term crisis facility.
No, the psychiatrist decides when you are ready to leave. It is confidential, though.
I was a minor when I went, phone calls were every night at 5:30, however if you didn't know your parents phone number, it was your loss
I wouldn't recommend this place for children, especially minors.
I believe so. They'll submit you to a mental health evaluation. Just ask to make sure. I'm fairly certain because it would be awful for people who don't have a psychiatrist
Fact is if you get baker acted the ambulance gives you a ride over there.
Definitely. You see the psychiatrist there once a week but shes available all week if you need to talk. She will only add or remove if she feels it's necessary. But just be honest with her and how you feel. She will never switch anything unless you give the ok and are 100% comfortable with it, even to just test it. Dr. Baig is one of the best there is. She's the psychiatrist of the PHP and IOP programs. She makes you feel comfortable and isn't judgmental.
Yes, several other mental health disorders.
It depends on the treatment you need. A typical patient stay is generally from 3 - 7 days. Which program do you need?
About 30 to 45 minutes
This place is a complete scam hell hole. Boycott this place and spread the word.
