I seldom leave reviews on anything, let alone something as private as seeing a psychiatrist, but I feel compelled, knowing people look to these reviews to seek care (myself included). I have been a patient of APG since 2018 and have been a patient of Dr. Chyu since 2019. I cannot express how amazing Dr. Chyu and all the staff at APG are! Dr. Chyu is by far the sincerest, patient, kind, caring doctor I have seen in any field of medicine. Her level of care and concern for my mental health progress and well-being is evident in every session. This is not a typical psychiatrist visit, where they ask five questions and hand you a prescription! Dr. Chyu listens, follows up, asks for more detail, and genuinely cares! Throughout my time with Dr. Chyu, I finished graduate school, went through the pandemic, changed jobs, sold and bought a home, and have recently been laid off (a lot of life changes, to say the least). Every step of the way, Dr. Chyu has been there, and I can honestly say that because of her and APG, I am in one of the best mental places I have ever been. I highly recommend Dr. Chyu and APG!
