Del Valle is a beautiful County park ποΈ. It offers day use, camping, hiking π₯Ύ, swimming, boating, fishing and equestrian π use. There is easy access βΏ to persons with limited mobility. The marina and boat rentals are operated by a concessionaire. The marina store is well stocked. If you choose to rent a boat on their discounted offers make sure you ask and understand the convoluted prices that are not clear on the website. This park is a real gem π in the east bay area.

A great view of lake. Please remember to park at the Arroyo staging area to avoid the parking fee. But, this staging area has limited parking space. It's a good warm-up starting point to climb up about 1000 feet high. Not suggesting to go in the summer time for the trail because there's not much shading area.

Amazing views. The hike up to the hill to view the lake is steep. However you reach in about 30 mins and get this stunning lake view. Best time to visit is now. Very few parking spots and a lot of people park on the street which is not advisable and can lead to tickets. Would suggest coming early and parking only in designated areas.

Fire ring is there .
Today may be a problem for dogs off leash. The state park rules say dogs must be on leash but, some have tried off least. If you do, please be aware that your dog off leash has a higher risk of getting into a confirntation with another dog someone also has let off leash. It has happened before when I had a family outing there 3 years ago. I Haven't seen it lately. Just sharing my experience to answer your question.
Thanks for asking, I saw someone got updated information than I have.
Yes
As of today, July 26, the park information website charcoal grilling is still being allowed
No reservation needed for day use. Campsites have both reserve online, and first come/serve.
I know the park closes at 9pm unless you paid the camping fee. But if you are driving and already paid the camping fee im sure you can leave anytime at night
It's ok just have to have some patience and some money to rent a boat or have the energy to walk to some places
Yes, RVs are allowed. Camping with an RV is $45/night. 21 out of the 120 sites have RV hookups. Reserve by going to www.reserveamerica.com
Itβs open except Monday Tuesday closes at 8 or 8:30
Once you enter the park it's almost equal to not having the phone. You will surprisingly get 1 bar signal at some places in the boating area but on land nothing .
Fees Parking:Β $6 per vehicle. $4 per trailered vehicle. $25 per bus. No parking fee at Arroyo staging. No drop-offs of any kind. Dog:Β $2 per dog. Guide/service dogs free
Yes, grill is allowed. I recommend to show up early to get a shade spot.
Yes dogs are allowed but must be on leash and never unattended. There is no rule that ssy's they can't be there but if they cause problems for the neighbors horses, the rangers or East Bay park officers may ask you to remove them from the camp.
Yes you can
Last time I visited, there was no swimming allowed. The park administrator told us that there may be some harmful bacteria. Not sure if it applies to fishing as well. Check with the clerk at the entrance.
I do not believe you can bring your own bbgs. I believe you must use the ones there.
they have barbecue pits at all campsites but u can bring your own and they have them at the picnic areas next to the swim area they also have lots of picnic spots all over with BBQ pits
I like the best place a lot..
Yes. It's a great lake for SUPs and kayaks. But like a lot of lakes with low water levels and low flow, the lake has cyanobacteria. It's best to avoid contact with the water.
It was open last Sunday. You should check web site as there's limited access and services.
$6.00 per car but no fee on arroyo entry
Park is currently closed and will be that way until otherwise stated on ebparks.org
Not at
First come, first serve.
There are no jet skis. 10 miles per hour maximum on the lake.
I think 6am
Yes good ones
Yes you can use a charcoal grill. They have grills there, but they get taken if you don't go early on the weekends.
48 width x 84 length inches
If you want to see wildflowers, the best place is down the road at Sunol Regional Wilderness. Take the Ohlone Trail toward Del Valle, you won't be disappointed. Shoot for April.
Hiking is excellent with many new (seasonal streams), lots of wildlife (bobcats, eagles, dear, antelope, etc.), but stay to the trails. There is lots of area around the lake to explore and enjoy.
Open but not in the night
Yes there is fishing
Yes, they have plenty of life jackets, all sizes.
Propane grills only. No charcoal allowed due to fire danger.
Right! It wasn't allowed last weekend.
Absolutely you can, but always best to book ahead. Summer always gets booked up. Week days easier
Yes... It's a wonderful place for families to go enjoy an outing or just if you want to swim the lake. .. quite a few people get in wetsuits and get some good exercise in....

Yes. You can make a reservation on the website and it will show you the fees.
Swimming is allowed, except when the level of bacteria is very high.
Yes and with the last few showers its filled quite a bit.
You sure can!
That's the great thing up there nobody can call and bother you. Unless you climb to the top of one of the many hills. Over by the dam the is good signal.
Im not 100% sure. You have to check on their website or they usually have signs posted about the water conditions.
