Turn it back on. Its the only zero CO2 energy source that generates consistent power. We could have a zero co2 grid and wed only need to build a few more of these

What's the point of having a pool if your not allowed to swim in it?

Too bad it was about down after 650 remodel. Much more profitable to buy from AZ and charge 300% more than improving the safety and operation of the worlds cleanest power plant technology in existence. And more recently, it can now be the safest. Even France knows this. Nuclear plants power not only themselves but also sell to their neighbors. France! We are idiots for not going all nuclear. CA would be back to $0.12/kwh if we just turned them back on. The only output is warm water. And now, even the spent rods are far more valuable than ever being considered toxic waste.

This place always gives me a radiant glow… I just love how green this all is.

Questions & Answers

We discovered that SCE thinks that it will take 1-3 years to figure out how to repair a damaged thin can of nuke waste at San Onofre. So my question is when did/will SCE start the process to figure how to repair a can at Sano?

Depends on who and how you ask, if something goes wrong with a thin can of nuke waste as the san onofre nuclear dump, they admit to having no way to repair it. they say it would take 1-3 years to figure that out.

When are you going to close that nuclear plant? Don't you know about the seismic failure you have in the ocean so close to you? The rose canyon, Newport, Inglewood failure. Please close the nuclear power plant now before it to late.

Well the plant has been closed since Juune 2013. It is currently in the process of decommissioning. But the real problem is the zero carbon energy that was lost

Too late for that. Decommissioning is well on the way and Both reactors are currently being cut into pieces.

How often does San Onofre (SONGS) release a liquid batch of treated wastewater with radioactive effluents?

Alice McNally | Sep 4, 2020
Aidan Macias | Sep 4, 2020

Direct reactor cooling water doesn't get released. Heat tranfer water doesn't become radioactive, and is released into the ocean. It is unclear what you mean by wastewater.

Why so close to the beach

Ocean water was used to cool down pipes that carried water that was heated by the nuclear reactor. Dirty radiated water never came in contact with any clean water.
