Easy hiking, no crazy inclines or stairs. Good for young kids, not sure if I'd recommend a stroller unless it had the big 4x4 type wheels.

Great place to unwind. Watch your step and wear good hiking shoes. Rocky, slippery and can be muddy. Weekends tend to be busy with dog walking and fishing. Take it slow and enjoy what nature has to offer. There is a cover picnic area and grills. Port-a-potty available.

This is hidden gem, love this place. Beautiful place to visit, recently renovated shelter area, all new benches etc. The best part this is on bank of river and has one of the best and most beautiful trail I visited. Rest my pics might show some beauty of this place

After the hour of bumps and water holes from driving a 4 seat UTV at the Pocono Adventures Speedway, we slowed the pace down with a mile hike at this awesome state park. After the hike, we enjoyed lunch at the picnic tables under the large pavilion.

Yes a license is needed you can easily get one on the PA state website. I think it's about $20 a year.
It is kid friendly for kids about 4+ yrs old. Lots of roots on the trail make unsteady footing for toddlers, people in heels/slippery shoes, and people unsteady on their feet of any age. Otherwise, the trail is quite manageable. It's not steep anywhere. There are a few spots near the creek/river where the rocks are slippery. Very manageable trail, I don't need to tell you to watch your kids, you already do that.

If you're lucky...
This park has a 2 1/4 mile loop trail that is pretty easy. Half of it follows the creek with a view of a waterfall. If you go further up 115 north you can check out Bear Creek preserve that offers several trails with varying difficulties and beautiful scenery. There are tons of trails in the area, your best bet is to hop in the car and explore the roads north of route 80. Just be careful of private driveways(almost always marked) and suggest reading up on the different rules during hunting season.
Not at this particular park. There are A LOT of nearby state gamelands you can hunt in though like Brady's Lake area and also around Bear Creek Preserve.
This is about 10 minutes from Lake Harmony it is on 115 past 80
