Phil did my intake and blood draw and was terrific. This is a 3 rating because due to the American Red Cross being cheap by having volunteers do the registration and they are not trained, can never be trained because of the turnover. Today the registration website switched to Twitter, the volunteer could not get back to the Red Cross bywebsite, the only other tablet was dead. The volunteers never ask to set up your next appointment to the detriment of the hospitalized and to the detriment of the Red Cross. Interior is drab, no photos, walls scratched. Snack variety is limited.

I had the same experience as another reviewer. Made an appointment for whole blood donation, showed up on time, and was encouraged to reschedule due to understaffing. The people I talked to were very kind and apologetic. They gave me a free T-shirt, though I feel like a fraud since I didn't get poked. With all the messages about the "critical need for blood", it seems its not a critical need for donors, rather their capacity to take donations, at least here. I'm trying a different location tomorrow.

They completely wasted my time! I wanted to donate blood, I did all the necessary steps, and read all the instructions. When I got there, I had my two boys with me. We were all masked, and our temperatures were cleared. I filled out their 20min questionnaire. Then waited another 30mins for my turn. When it was my turn a staff person said my children could not be there and then suggested they wait in the car in 90° heat. So annoyed! I had wasted nearly an hour there and no one said my kids couldn't be there. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the receptionist Louise was very friendly. Everyone else, completely unprofessional!

I donate at the Red Cross because I believe in donating blood. I've been doing it for over 40 years. But the focus of the organization has shifted. Now it spends more on marketing and overhead costs, and the mission has suffered. The workers and volunteers are great. It is the management I am not happy about.

I had to wait an hour WITH an early morning appointment. I had to switch to regular from Double Red. Not sure what happened or if it was typical
