I would seriously move here just to eat at Sanctuary Bistro once a week. Amazing food and such friendly people! I also love how they donate food to local food banks! I would give 500 stars if I could and that’s just from one time coming here!

I committed to being vegan a month and a half ago and this was our first vegan restaurant. We didn’t know what to expect but I was excited to try it. I felt bad for hubby who had no clue what to order and we were not sure what a lot of the menu items were. Everything exceeded our expectations, from the delicious food, to the tranquil atmosphere and the helpful and friendly staff. We will definitely go back and try more dishes.

If you are seeking mouthwatering culinary food with all the trappings, Sanctuary Bistro is the place to go. Of all the restaurants we visited in Charlotte, I would put this one at the top of the list for exquisite vegan food. Everything on the menu is vegan. The decorum is simple, yet elegant. The waitress offered excellent service. The restaurant is small and does not have many tables. Reservations are probably a good idea.

Sanctuary Bistro is one of the top 5 vegan restaurants in the Charlotte area! Every dish unique and full of flavor! We had the charcuterie board, fried squash ravioli, dumplings and tofu, and the lions mane steak with mashed potatoes, chimichurri and green beans. My favorite was the ravioli. it wasnt y ok ur traditional mushy pasta. They were crispy, almost like a quesadilla. and the sauce was so creamy and delicious! For dessert we had the creme brulee and the lemon chiffon cake. The creme brulee was the perfect consistency and the lemon chiffon was sweetcanf tart and perfection! The cherry on top was the waitress was also part owner and so helpful and kind and informative. She actually greeted us outside as we were trying to take a selfie in front of the restaurant and offered to take out picture. The atmosphere was wonderful, family like but very creative, ative and beautiful. This is a great place to take someone who has never experienced vegan food.

They have small plates & entrees.
We are at 50% capacity. We have 4 tables only. We have purchased an air filter for the room and we have the highest merv filter on the ac / heating unit. We keep that fan on to filter the air. Masks must be worn when walking around the space. Staff wears double masks and gloves. We are mostly take out. We bleach all menus between each use as well as pens, ticket books etc. email us directly if you have more questions...
Hi! Families are always welcome. We get the most kids at brunch but they are welcome at any meal. We don’t allow outside food unfortunately. Lunch and brunch are first come first serve and dinner we take reservations. We put a candle in your dessert order. Just let us know that it’s a birthday.
Street parking is generally available... Only had to walk 2 blocks one time, rest of the time could park very close
Our entire restaurant including bar seats is 30 seats. That is really last minute so I would call us directly tomorrow if you are interested in renting out the whole space. Because of our very small size it does not lend itself to mingling so you may be happier at hella vegan eats or the decking area of millennium or souley vegan as previously mentioned. But we do and have rented out our entire restaurant before for sit down events like this. Call Me tomorrow if you want me to look into our availability.
