My ultimate favorite place for breakfast! The waffles and mocha are my favorite!!! I was raised on their waffles—I make a point to go every time I’m back I. California. There are not a lot of places around that serve waffles that aren’t Belgian-style. They also have real maple syrup (the cherry on top). Their mochas have a dollop if the best tasting whipped cream I have ever had.

I was just saying to folks that it's a neighborhood gem. The only restaurant within many blocks, and it is the perfect solution for breakfast OR lunch. Delicious food; low prices; friendly, caring servers -- thank God it exists! UPDATE: I've now had dinner at FatApple's several times, and it's amazingly good ... a nice variety, but I often order whatever the special is that evening. I defy you to find better prices in Berkeley for the value you get here.

Yes, we are open on Memorial Day. Regular Business Hours --7 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. For the Holiday, we extend breakfast service until 1 p.m.
The regular hours of operation are applicable on St. Patrick's Day.
The Olliberry pie from Fat Apples is the best. Indeed it is their signature pie.
