This is a wonderful campsite to take your family to. I went with my partner and her family and we had a great time! Lots of trails to walk and there is a river that you "could" technically kyak down if the river is high enough. It says it's not recommended but it defiantly looked like it was possible. I highly recommend bringing something like a volleyball net or something because there are lots of kids and my aunt basically had half of the camps kids having a blast playing volleyball! Dog friendly!

This was my first time being here, and we drove from Seattle early in the morning to go clamps digging here. The state park is so spacious and clean than I expected, and there are many restrooms right across the entrance to the parking. We got some beautiful and delicious oysters, clams, and mussels. The whole experience was great and memorable. If you have kids and want them to have some great recreational activities, you can take them here for a walk while digging some clams. All you need is a clam shovel or specialized tube (clam gun) and most importantly is your clam licence. Please check the weather and tide information before coming and after all please enjoy your moment

Beautiful park with cabins & some are heated. Very peaceful. They just added new shower building with 8 to 10 private shower rooms, Due to open by April 1st or sooner. This is 1 of the best parks we have visited & stayed at, It have a lot to offer for the Visitor or Camper. This would be a great model of what a WA State Park should be like.

First time here and it is a great state park. Lots of hiking trails. I love seeing the elk right here in the park. I'll be coming back.

Yes. Just have a leash. Hope you and your furry friend has fun!
There is the Brinnon store for a quick snack or if your smart you'll shop before you start camping..... The store isn't cheap.
Yes. There is a large open area east of the highway that has picnic tables and a bathroom. There's a picnic shelter too, but it was closed last week - it appeared to be because of social gathering limits.
No, pleasant harbor is the closest. About 2 miles south of the camp ground
$20 -$37, depending on season and site number
It does yes. It has a bit of a rocky path also, and plenty of spots to sit.
This is a great park. Lots of full hook-up sites for large coaches. The local elk herd should provide you with some close up views.
The park is great! Depending on the side of your RV I would park away from the road in the back. But the sites along the road are nice and large and wide open full power hookup and also depends on what's your trailer needs or needs are.
It is from the Twana native American myth about a man named Doswalopsh who was turned into a mountain at the rivers source.
Not required but show up early since the place does fill up. Beautiful Park..
Jaime You do need a Washington state fishing license with a limit card and knowledge on sex and size for crabs. The others also have limits so it's best to check the WSFG website for information.
Where in the campground are you referring, Camped there recently and all roads open except campground east of 101 bridge which was closed.
No, it starts July 15th
See the official recommendations here: https://wdfw.wa.gov/places-to-go/shellfish-beaches/270200
The campground is open for reservations but you might be able to get a spot by going there and talking to themim going up tomorrow for a few days so I know they are open
Unless there is construction or maintenance water, power, and septic are available year round.
Yes!
There are multiple areas near the campground for oysters and clams certain times of the year
I have never had anyone tell me no
RATES Peak season (all nights) - $69 plus tax per night Shoulder season weeknights - $59 plus tax per night Shoulder season weekends & holidays - $69 plus tax per night Winter season (all nights) - $45 plus tax per night Plus an online reservation fee
As of two days ago it did. Check wa state park alerts for updated burn ban information
Yes. I think you get tokens from the rangers station
Not required but a good idea unless you get your space early. The park is super popular and fills fast.
I'm assuming yes, as it is public property up to the high tide mark, but maybe a better question for the WSFW or Coast Guard.
We paid about $125 for two nights with tax
Your only a short walk to the banks if Hoods Canal were you can harvest oysters and clam. There are crabs in the canal but I don't know regs. about harvesting. There are 2 herds if ekk near by so watch out and make sure you always have your xamera nearby.
For how far out it is, it's surprisingly good, but still spotty. As I recall, the signal was pretty good in the big open field by the cabins and picnic area.
Not sure...but sure there's one close by
Pick up your 🐶animals 💩 droppings and have them on a leash. Thank you! Hope you Have a wonderful time!
Very likely. It fills up quickly during popular weekends like holidays and during clam digs.
I have a concealed carry so my gun you couldn't see I'm not sure how they feel about open carry I do know There's not anywhere in the park to just go shooting But Washington State laws I believe allow you to carry while hiking for protection Unless posted otherwise and I didn't see any signs there
The most amazing close bridge is about 200 yards behind the outhouse in the old group camp. There is a trail head parking there, and if you contact the park for reservations they can advise you better
