The 85/15 burger is a disgrace, stringy and I'm pulling sinew and only God knows what else out of my teeth with every single bite. This burger of not one but two big beautiful Angus is ruined. Anyone with ears is going to hear about this.

I took my deer into Meridian Meat Packers for processing on October 16 and picked it up the following week. I was impressed with the helpful attitude of this family run business and their interest in processing my deer with cuts specifically as I requested. The packaging was tight and properly labeled. As expected, the venison is excellent! I was also invited to observe if I wanted to watch the processing. Since I had been referred by friends who have high praise for Meridian Meat Packers I passed on the invite. Also , most years I would process my own deer-- now I'm very satisfied with Meridian Meat Packers. I'm now hoping for success filling my elk tag and again having this family take care of the processing.

We took our elk here to get processed and had a horrible experience with customer service. I had to drop the elk off for my boyfriend and the man who took in the elk into processing was extremely rude to me and was clearly annoyed that we were dropping off an elk. I gave them our phone number and contact information, and three weeks after the elk was dropped off we had still not received a phone call that the meat was ready. After calling and waiting awhile for them to even find our contact card, they informed me that the meat had been ready for pick-up for awhile. They did not call to inform us. We will not be using Meridian Meat Packers again as they were rude, disorganized, and have terrible customer service.

We took an elk to Meridian Meats, and got steaks and burger meat made out of it. the reason for even a couple of stars is that the burger meat was great, but the other cuts were a different story. I'm not sure what the process is, but it would appear that a chop saw had been taken to the meat, and the pieces then packaged up. Meaning the bone was still left in the cuts, and i'm not just talking bone fragments - none of the bone was taken out. Also, no trimming at all was done, rendering the meat literally impossible to eat unless i took the time to trim all the sinew and fibers out myself prior to cooking. Just not something I've ever run into before, and we've had a ton of game processed over the years. It would be one thing if the prices were lower due to this, but they were on par with other outfits in the valley.
