Had an enchanting evening Chez TJ. The food was sublime, especially the quail. The chefs created imaginative and delicately-balanced combinations of flavours. The service was excellent - warm, welcoming and entertaining. You could feel how much they wanted you to know all about the food and really enjoy it. We went with two bottles of excellent saké for four pax. I think Chez TJ deserves a second star!

What a wonderful dining experience! The staff was very attentive and friendly, and the food was out of this world. The wine paired so nicely with the food as well. The wait between dishes was pretty long, so I probably won’t be dining here again any time soon. It was a lovely dinner though. Many thanks to the chef! :)

Wow!! I should have read some of the recent reviews before deciding on this restaurant for our anniversary!! This place can be a hit or miss depending on the seasonal menu so take this with a pinch of salt. Let me start with complements first. The service here was just what you would expect from one of the priciest dining experiences and the staff really put on a show in describing what to expect from the next bite. The wire pairings really worked and in my view rightly priced. Where I had an issue was in the quality of the food itself. This place could easily pass as a fancy art installation but not as a restaurant. I have been to many famous tasting dinners across the States and this is probably the first time i felt like flushing my hard earned money through the drain. Here are the specifics which I hope the management takes it seriously. 1. The food was bland with subtle flavors (just like someone would describe any french cuisine). However I expected a wow element which sadly I got only from the sweet courses 2. The ingredients itself were very routine and nothing exotic. The beluga caviar was the only exception which again doesn't require an experienced chef to prepare. 3. Molecular gastronomy and artistry was ok but it didn't complement the dishes. I have seen better photos in customer reviews from the past years. If I was only there for Instagram worthy dishes I would have still left disappointed. I felt like the Chef had a day off and trusted the day with some interns. 4. Lastly, the portions were tiny and I still left the place without a full stomach which was my biggest concern.

The staff at chez TJ are some of my favorite people in the peninsula. They are always so positive and accommodating, creating an excellent dining experience. All the ingredients are high quality and the chef creates fascinating combinations of flavors in the courses. Allow 3-4 hours for the full reservation. There's also an incredible wine pairing list as well as some nice cocktails (the old fashioned was excellent). We're never disappointed at Chez TJ and will be returning soon!

When I went, they were able to accommodate a member of our group who is vegan so this should be fine.
It depends on what set menu you get. When we went there were 2 set menu options one for $150 and the other for $200. The wine pairing also varied for $110 and $160 respectively Hope that helps!
